This is like hocking a loogie every few seconds. It’s loud and disruptive, and kids at school were saying stuff about it. Doc told us a lot of times it’s briught about by high anxiety situations or when kids are overly stimulated.
It’s not bad, like the other guy said frozen peas and buy some tightie whities if you don’t already have em. Other than that just enjoy the painkillers and 2-3 days in bed watching Netflix
I feel like a good 80% of the communication I do with my kids consists of me yelling “STOP!” or “NO!” or “DO NOT DO THAT!” It’s a miracle I don’t start every sentence to my 3.5 year old with “Goddammit, you motherfucker, <insert random stop, no, etc>!”
Definitely the tightest whities you can stand, i didn't wear ones that were tight enough and it delayed my recovery by several days, they felt bruised and swollen way longer than would have been necessary.
Also can't stress that enough - I thought boxer briefs would cut it..... huge mistake. After a few hours of misery the wife was at target buying the tightest of whities
Thank you..I read this and bought some tonight.. I’m getting a little nervous bc my dr said not to lift things over 10 pounds and my kids want me all the time to pick them up..
Just saw today that a girl I went to HS with is pregnant with her 5th(!) kid. She's 32. I can't even fathom that.
Inside 10 weeks to induction. Feeling good, Mrs. Block doing well. I have four months paternity leave, which makes me really happy. Not feeling good after daycare tours today, even though I knew how much it was going to be. How the fuck do people afford to have multiple kids in care?
I got zero leave with my oldest and three weeks with my youngest. That was plenty of time to help my wife get back on her feet. Fuck being home with a baby for four months. It really is amazing how much my attitude has changed about stuff like this after being in the parenting grind for a few years. Back in the day, I would have given my left nut to be off work for a few months and still getting paid. Now? Nope nope nope. Give me that sweet release of stale office air, terrible business casual dress, and 40 miles of non-Sesame related radio entertainment.
My twins just entered public school and they are loving kindergarten. They eat lunch at the cafeteria so we don’t have to pack and unpack lunch tupperware and they ride the bus. I feel like I hit the powerball (I’m saving a mortgage payment worth of money each month now).
I have going in first grade with 2 more in daycare. We pay more than our mortgage right now. I'm looking forward to this day so much
Count me in the daycare more than mortgage crowd. Once we get to two we'll probably go the nanny route again. Pretty comparable price wise. I like our daycare a lot and I think it's been really good for our daughter. Only real gripes are price and her being pretty consistently sick with something since being there (I'm home with her today cause she has a fever and ear infection)
Maybe you're just getting the 'constant sickness' stage over early? I feel like once my son went to preschool it's been like living in a petri dish
Our son had a constant runny nose from 0-2 with multiple pink eye, Hand foot & mouth, ear infections (got tubes at 1), etc. He is 3.75 now and I can’t recall him getting sick in the last year. That part will get better.
What age do you think is best to start organized sports? My son is 4.5 and some of his preschool friends are doing flag football / soccer this year - however, it seems like none of the kids are remotely prepared for it (don't know how to pull a flag or do anything football / soccer related really).
that is how they learn.....we did soccer last fall...kid just turned 5. he loved it. now doing flag football this year.
he started soccer this spring and none of them really got it but they had fun. He just finished baseball and enjoyed that too but it’s basically run bases, throw balls at cones and then hit off a T. We will be doing swimming and ice skating this fall (because Minnesota).
I think the problem is my town is full of the kind of dads you see yelling at the umpires on youtube so I think i'm paranoid about them coaching 4 year olds
Assuming you get a coach that knows why he's there it's a great learning experience. You can coach even I coached basketball last winter for Kindergartners. It was great. Quite a bit of work but a really great experience.
I never want to read one ltying fuck out of your lying fuck face boomfer you fuck ? liar hollywoodm fucik blob Redmond what you work with luke the liar fuck ? LIAR MOTHERFUCKER ! YOU LIKE THAT I WANT TO PUNCH YOU YOU FUCK .
I'm having reel my bff in when it comes to doing homework with our Kindergartner. It's 2 weeks in and she's creating a perfectionist/anxiety monster. On that note...
Hey guys I hope some you guys donate. As fathers we know our children’s well being is the most important thing in our lives. Thanks for reading. I'm choosing to run for more than myself. I'm using my running to help save kids' lives by fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as I train. I'm running for kids who might be too sick to run today, but who could one day be running alongside me because the money I raised helped find a cure for childhood cancer. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer. http://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR/Heroes/Heroes?px=4942214&pg=personal&fr_id=87329 Please donate and help me reach my goal

3 months old are still easy. Just feed at take-off and landing to ensure the ears pop. My experience with a 3 month old and 4 month old was they slept through the flight (2 round trips). Flying with a 10 month old and later gets much more difficult until you can get them to zone out with a kindle or ipad. Good luck.
Speaking of sports. Can anyone tell me if I should start setting up officials based off of this clip of my 2 year old?
Hes real quick to lift his shirt when I ask him to show his belly. Might have to start linking that in with goal scoring.
Had my vasectomy today. Got home an hour ago. Popped a couple Tylenol and an ice pack. Pain starting to come on but I’m worried about taking the hydrocodone they gave me
3rd day of kindergarten my daughter tells me and my wife that a little boy at her table said he was going to sneak into her house and cut her hair off. Wtf. I told her to call his bluff and tell him to do it and that I’ll use my razor to shave his head. Then I realized what I was saying and the look on my wife’s face meant I should stop. Forever learning how to parent.
My almost 2 year old has been in daycare now for about 2 months, has adjusted really well. Didn't bite anyone until last week when he went on a damn friend's flesh feeding frenzy. Had me really worried, but he hasn't bitten anyone at all this week. Its like he had a temporary bout of insanity. He still bites at home everyone once in a while when he lets his emotions get the best of him.
He's learned the taste of flesh, time to put him down. Seriously though, biting and physical violence phase during toddler age sounds worrying af.
