Can’t offer any advice on the wife not going back to work however I can announce that mine is going back to work. She took a year off with us moving, having a 5 year old in pre k that finished at noon, and dealing with the 2 year old. She just got offered a position at a high school so it will be nice to get back to having multiple incomes.

My wife took the better part of two years off. Was nice that she was able to get that time with our son, but we she eventually decided to go back I didn’t hate that 2nd income again.

And wife just called. They’re on the way to the emergency room. 2yr old shoved wads of toilet paper up her nose. She got all of it except one that’s deep in there. With no one to hold her she doesn’t want to risk tweezers up the nose so off to the ER. I hate working out of town when something like this happens.

Got damn, kids shoving rocks and TP up their orifices. Our daughter is almost two and not shoving things up holes yet, but is starting to get into so much more like tissue boxes and tear it apart. Probably a good sign we need to further baby proof the house.

Wife got to the ER about 10:30 and didn’t get seen by a doctor until 12:30. During that time, the toilet paper either came out or 2 year old swallowed out as the doctor couldn’t see anything in there. Can’t wait to see that bill for nothing.

We had to go to the ER a couple months ago for this crazy rash deal. Erythema multiforme I believe is what it’s called. Looks scary as shit but apparently is totally harmless, at the ER though had zero test ran and the doctor knew immediately what it was. $500.

You can send part of it in and get a voucher or a refund if you have your receipt. There's a whole thing explaining it on the official recall notice.

Yeah. Haven't seen which part you send in, so I wonder if people are going to try to sell it without that.

Are there any tmb sanctioned alternatives yet?

Any dads have a daughter in competitive cheerleading? My 3 yo just finished her first season.. I will say they put in a lot of work but my goodness I didn’t realize how expensive this shit is lol.. my youngest wants to do cheerleading too with her sister.. can’t imagine 2 girls at a time..

I’m sure someone has more than 3 like I do, but not sure if anyone can top having 3 in a 15 month period like we did (not that any sane person would want to).

Our almost 2 year old can now get out of her crib, but also climbs back in. The other two are about to become mobile, and my life will somehow become even more chaotic.

our oldest did this. I'm so relieved nothing happens

we use it for simple rocking for the 4 month old while we are in the room, cooking/eating/etc.

One of my complaints though, is even the recall says that it was from kids rolling over when not strapped in. A lot of the deaths in this thing are due to positional asphyxiation where their head drops forward and they stop breathing. They will look perfectly normal and not stuck sideways.

There was a huge cheerleading competition at the downtown convention center in Columbus last weekend. I was down there and every single one of the families running around looked the same. It was somewhat shocking. Husband and wife both like their bedazzled back jean pockets. Mom's all have huge hair. Terrible people.

Little ned has a milk allergy. Doc recommend similac alimentum. He's decided to only eat the ready to drink kind. For those in the same boat, have you found a more cost effective way to buy those quart bottles in bulk? I don't have a costco/Sam's membership, but definitely could if it was cheaper in mass quantities

We went down this rabbit hole with my older one due to terrible reflux and eczema. Started with sensitive then went to alimentum then went to elecare (:littlerascalsthrowingmoneyoutthewindow:) and finally settled on sensitive. He also only wanted the premixed for a while which was not economically feasible. We slowly folded in the powdered formula over the course of a few weeks, starting with like 75/25 ratio, until the premixed wasn’t needed. Ironically enough, he would only drink the powdered by the time the transition was done and we ended up with a few dozen bottles of premixed to give away.

My wife went out of town for a couple of days and when she got back lilhoo decided she was pissed and would not breast feed. Because of this, my wife’s milk supply slowed down and we ran through our stock pile pretty quickly, baby also refused to drink formula.

Long story short, pediatrician said a healthy baby won’t starve itself. If the pre-mixed isn’t cost effective (which I know it is not), keep offering other formula and they will drink it eventually.

I'm sure you're right, but I didn't word my post that great. He's a bit underweight by the charts and I'm thrilled he's happily eating, so the RTD is the move for us. I was just wondering if there were any #lifehacks to drive down the price, like buying in bulk

That sucks, we just went through this two months ago. Took maybe 15 minutes from the time they took her back to the time they gave her back. Most annoying thing is them not getting any food after midnight so they'll be cranky (and are extra cranky after the anesthesia).
