My son is into it now and I was curious too, he's worth like $40 milliion last I saw
He’s come along way from putting videos of himself giving his friends Cleveland Steamers on the internet
More of monster truck song guy myself. The simplicity gets me. “Monster trucks are big, monster trucks are loud.”
Brought our new baby daughter home Wednesday night. Our 2 1/2 son is starting to warm up to her and show interest. Forgot how many diapers newborns go through
Hold your kids tight. My cousin in his low-20s suffered a traumatic brain injury today while water skiing. He had to be airlifted and is in the ICU. Im a mess and I can’t imagine if he was my son rather than my cousin.
sorry to hear :(
They did a brain scan tonight and did not detect activity. I’m fucking beside myself.
Damn man. I'm sorry for you and your family.
I’ll be praying for you all. I’m so sorry.
Paw patrol live was like a damn heavy metal concert for kids, by the end of it the kids were gathered around the front of the stage mosh pitting
It was actually kinda fun to watch
Im so sorry, that is awful
So sorry Rabid , fuck
Second night home sleep was rough so I am now a Snoo owner :) wife had some baby blues first one and they are already showing up for this one. With two kids I’m realizing idc what it costs if it makes our lives easier it’s worth it.
Have you considered getting a blue lever beside your bed at home? I have heard you receive plenty of assistance if you pull it.
I tried pulling it again but this time I got nut punched. I think you only get one pull per kid. Sucks I used mine on windows.
Wife’s birthday was yesterday so I made dinner reservations for us. First night out since little dude was born. Reservation at 7, home by 9:30, drunk off of a few drinks, hungover today. Life comes at you fast.
Being hungover dealing with a baby or toddler is hell.
I rarely get drunk these days because I can’t take it.
My alcohol intake has decreased significantly because those 2-3 am feedings are a bitch.
At our second baby shower, virtual style. Waiting to open gifts that she already knows what they are bc she snooped on babylist every time something was bought.
Y’all had a baby shower for the second kid?
They call it a Sprinkle
3-0 today. Watching them go is just awesome, gentlemen! One more & it’s on to the championship.
First kid, 2nd baby shower. Had to drive to my hometown for a baby shower with my family. Then had to drive to her parents for a baby shower on her side.
Pray for me.
I’m at my 4 year olds dance recital. There are 36 groups that go before she does.
thankfully, the bar is open.
Man newborn clothes are such a crap shoot in sizes. Some stuff little man wears 0-3 months others still in newborn sizes. It's infuriating in the middle of the night when he has a blow out trying to figure out what he fits in and doesn't. Most of the time idgaf but when mom wakes up and looks at something that's obviously too big I get a "WTF were you thinking putting him in that!"
Some of my moms best advice ever was "don't buy them ANYTHING new until they're 18 months" cuz they're just going tio shit in it and outgrow it in 6 weeks
Rabid I’m so sorry. Prayers and positive thoughts for you and your family.
Freak thing that nobody can understand. His brain stem was damaged from a fall in to the water. It caused his heart and breathing to stop. They revived him and stabilized his body but it’s over. His organs are being transplanted tonight/tomorrow and he will give others a chance. He was such a special kid. HS Valedictorian despite spending weeks in the hospital undergoing chemo. While he was undergoing chemo his dad was in a coma from a botched heart surgery to fix a leaky valve. Just traumatic experiences for them. When we went through the fall with the death of my father, my father-in-law undergoing a bone marrow transplant and our son having multiple surgeries last fall I thought a lot about what my aunt had been through.
Bluey remains the best cartoon that all of us enjoy. It's legit funny as a parent.
Also my kids (4 and 1) are both hypnotized by cocomelon
Same. We don’t watch much of it unless under dire circumstances because I’m pretty sure there’s subliminal messaging in it geared toward turning them into mindless super soldiers when they get older.
we allow some TV during some lunches and dinners but we outlawed cocomelon since neither of them seem to move (or blink?) when it's on
3.5 yo struggling hard with the changes of the newborn. Any tips besides just trying to be extra loving, patient, etc. Assuming/hoping it’s just this time that baby has all of Moms attention and will get back to normal when she has more freedom from baby.
we tried to keep ours involved with the baby to 'help' with things like get a diaper or do bottle liners or something like that.
Yeah doing that and giving him spontaneous rewards like stickers, lots of encouragement. Today was the first day in like 2 years that he would not let me go not wanting to go to daycare. Breaks my heart I know it’s tough for him he’s a big mommas boy.
Enjoying these. First books I've read with my 4 y/o that's chapter based and we continue from night to night.
We got these to go with his space themed room but I'm learning like a mother fucker
Someday I will miss dad dad dad dad dad DAD DAD DAD DAD DAD, but today is not that day
11yo daughter almost 12. Seems like she complains of headache and/or stomach ache daily. I feel bad for her but also so frustrating because I don’t know what causes it, can’t fix it. Well, occasionally I’ll give her motrin and that fixes headaches. Reminds me of her mom with the headaches all the time, I don’t fucking get it. I feel like a broken record with my advice of drink more water, more rest, less screen time
Anyone else have newborns/infants that just do not stop spitting up? We went through it with first one and now second is doing the same. Read everything under the sun. Keep him upright, burp, everything. He’s not in pain, gaining weight. Him, us, bedding, everything is covered in spit up always. Probably just is what it is.
Honestly have you taken him to his pediatrician(I'm sure you have)? My son did this constantly until he was about 12 months. About month 8 we got him prescribed some sort of medication for acid reflux. He still spit up but that helped a ton. He eventually grew out of it.
His two week appointment is in a few days. Probably just genetics cause my first son did it whole time he breastfed and like you said around months 8-12 when we transitioned to solids it stopped. Hope pediatrician has something we can try. Don’t think it’s reflux but we’ll see.
3-3.5 has been the fucking worst. Ready for it to be over.
It's not getting much easier after our daughter just turned 4. She is incredibly controlling, bossy, inflexible, and loudly complains about so many things. I'm basically emotionally exhausted after a few hours with her by myself. She does well in daycare but it's clear she's still bossy there as well.
I feel like whenever I talk about her now I don't have much to say other than "yeah she's a handful." Really hoping that, as many other parents have told me, when she's 6 she'll be a little more easy going.
6 is about the age where shitbaggery really stopped with my older one and he turned into a little person. He listens really well, minimal fighting/pushback, etc.
My 4.5yo on the other hand…
We had that. We switched him to soy formula and it all went away in an instant.
Besides the spit up he’s good but if he soon turns into a non napping fussy ass like his older brother we will definitely try this.
We had a son with silent reflux. He didn’t fuss or anything. But we put him on an acid reflux medicine and it got much better.
