I'll be that guy and say that "All Stars" for tee ball is the most ridiculous thing. Aren't the rules essentially that everyone gets a turn to bat each inning and then you switch and every game ends in a tie because there was a combined 3 actual outs the entire game? Your kid is better off not participating in that nonsense. The try hard parents participating in that shit would ruin any potential benefit he could get. Take him to the park and start practicing coach pitch with him, play catch, toss him some grounders. You will get to spend some quality time with your son that will prepare him much better coach pitch. I'm as competitive as it gets and really don't like the proliferation of participation trophies in youth sports, but at age 6, that's the definition of when "participation" is all that matters. Especially in a sport like tee ball where you need multiple kids who are way more advanced than anyone else to have a meaningful impact on the game.

We haven't had any discussions about if we will allow him to play any certain sports or not. We do encourage him to play, as sports were really important to me growing up. And this year in 8u soccer he really seemed to start getting it more than anything previously. I think that was partly due to a really good coach. Then just yesterday the wife realized she didn't ever finish filling out the registration for flag football which started this week. Our city has a youth track and field program starting this year that i went looking into yesterday evening, I got interested in getting him in it. But of like 5 or 6 track meets only 2 of them are on weekends. All out of town 2 day meets on like Wed & Thurs.
My buddys kid played some sort of flag/minimal contact football until High School and he had no issue making the switch to tackle then. I'd probably go that route.
Flag football imo. Football better be my son's absolute passion before I let him go get a bunch of concussions as kids 75 pounds heavier than him knock the crap out of him. this is the correct answer.
My kid will play flag football in a few years if he wants to, but wouldn't let him play tackle til middle school. I would much rather him play soccer, golf, basketball, baseball etc. That said I absolutely loved high school football and if he's big and good enough to play then I won't stop him.
Got a couple messages from daycare this afternoon on the app that the 11 month old had a couple bad diarrhea episodes. I get him home...eats normal dinner....plays normal...takes his bedtime bottle and turns to fall asleep like normal on me....90 seconds later I'm completely covered in vomit. FUN SHIT.

Samesies. I played football and loved it. My twin boys have been playing flag since 6. They're dying to play tackle. I was small. Their mom comes from. 6'6", 300 stock. They're not allowed on the same team. Theres a medium around here that's kinda tackle. They want to play. It's a horrible idea but they love the game.
We had this last week. He threw up Saturday night but was fine by Sunday morning. I’m think I’m in the clear Sunday and Monday, but get hit with it Tuesday night. Wife is fine until the next Saturday when it hits her. It was much less severe than the bug he gave me around Thanksgiving.
Baby gump was born at 4:36am this morning. We checked into the hospital around noon yesterday. She weighs 5 pounds 12 ounces and is 19.5 inches long. She looks just like me according to my MIL and wife. Mother and baby are happy and healthy. We up at the hospital until Sunday. About to jam out on some hospital cafeteria food

To me babies look like to babies to me. Apparently it is law that every friend/family that meets your baby they have to say who it looks like. Sometimes it's very clear who they look like. IMO most the time it is not. We've heard my youngest looks like 5+ different family members at this point and everyone is so sure of their comparison.
The wife made us take the Lexus RX to the hospital because she said it was easier to get in and out of. Even though we bought it new in 2021 , probably going to have to upgrade her to the LX at some point because the RX is kinda small. Might get a cover for the bed of the Tundra and you can put a bunch of baby gadgets and junk back there for traveling.
Just entering the 4 month sleep regression. My gal has been great up to now but the last 4-5 days have been a bear. She’s 4 months first of June so starting a little early. Last night she lost her mind around 9PM and screamed at me for an hour until she exhausted herself and went back down til 2:30 bottle. Strange deal but I’ll take it. Her mom left for 8 days yesterday so my 10+ workdays are going to be hell this week.

My guy my wife has a NX and it works just fine for one baby. Wouldn’t use it for any long trips though.
At 6'0, 200 pounds, her RX is small. With the car seat behind the driver side I can't back the driver seat up enough to get comfortable. No way I could do a NX
Well yes the NX is a ladies car. Just saying it’s achievable. But if it’s gonna be the primary vehicle for the three of you then upgrading makes sense. I have an Edge and two kids is the limit of what it can handle IMO.
Probably rock the RX for a few more years, let car prices go down a bit hopefully, then get the LX. Might look into the comparable Mercedes options. Not big on BMWs.
Son lost his fourth tooth yesterday. What is the going rate for teeth? We did $5 for his first but I thought $1 for each additional was perfectly fine but my wife has been putting $5 for everyone. I feel that's way too much. Am I wrong?

Levi has 2 horizontal lines right above his eyes, spaced about an inch apart. My 23 month old son managed to run straight into our standard 36” height kitchen countertop yesterday and tag the fuck out of his forehead, 2” below the top of his head. This is the portion with the overhang that we sit at with barstools. What in the fuck is going on with this dude’s height.

So we’ve been kind of working on potty training since they’re going to start it when he turns two in his class at daycare. Well this morning he went and grabbed his little toilet seat/ step stool thing and moved it over on top of the toilet, dropped his diaper, sat down and peed in the toilet. He then began laughing his head off as it was apparently the funniest thing ever to him.
Update: baby is sleeping 4 hour stretches. Wakes up 2 x per night. Have tons of help with MIL and FIL. FIL had to find formula in some random small town and we bought a month's worth.
She loves being on her changing table. I just grabbed her foot and was pulling her leg down telling her I need her to straighten her leg so I can zip up her onesie, and she thought it was hilarious.
