Anyone use melatonin? At what age is it safe? Flying tomorrow and wouldn't mind giving my bobcat chid something to take the edge off. I've seen 3, 4, 5 online. He's about 3.5
We started giving it to our daughter when she turned 3. She just takes one of these... https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/w...SpLBpvfzx1DPII-qqu7gumL2k_rhWfoBoCK0YQAvD_BwE
Cool. Might go grab some of that. He's a good sleeper at night, but would really love for the guy to just zone out on some movies for 4 hours. Does 1mg knock your kid out pretty well? Have you ever given a half?
Maybe better for a lawyer thread but I don’t get how when signing up for youth sports I need to sign a waiver releasing them from liability even if they are negligent. I get accidents but negligence shouldn’t have be something I need to sign away for my kid
There are instances where you can get out of a waiver but I wouldn’t count on it. You don’t have an alternative though. It’s not worth keeping your kid out of sports over it.
Thought stepping on legos was bad, my oldest left his 3 ring binder on the floor with the rings opened. In what felt like slow motion I watched my youngest full speed step directly on one of the open rings in the middle of his foot. Good bit of blood, got it bandaged up but he hasn't taken a single step on it since it happened.
Thought for sure this would be my #1 song. It is a banger though and gets stuck in my head even when I don't hear it.
My 10 yr old daughter solely listens to like 4 Disney/musical songs while my 8 yr old son listens to some ridiculous shit I've never heard of (most recent one is Granny's House (feat. Fgteev)) and wrestling entrances.
My 7 year old listens to Lankybox (Youtubers?) songs. They're beyond ridiculous and I'll find myself with a song that goes "Goo Goo Ga Ga Turn Into a Baby" stuck in my head
only works for me because I throw all their shit into one playlist. It’s one of the options for the playlists:
My wife ruins my algorithm with nighttime lullabies from Alexa for the kids so it isn’t even our playlist. I’m just going to have to eat this one instead of getting her to change her ways.
My 6 year old is doing winter basketball. It’s drills/practice for the first half, scrimmages for the second half. His first practice was this morning. He gets done and comes over to me/my wife. Me: How was it, buddy? Him: Good. Guess what our team name is? It’s really silly. Me: What? Him: The Blue Waffles Me: Uh what? Him: Yeah, the coach picked it. The coach is another dad. He couldn’t have done this on purpose, right? My wife was appalled when she googled it.
kids want chili dogs like sonic the hedgehog dad buys everything for chili dogs makes chili dogs one bite i don’t like chili dogs
Been trying to get my kids to say “can I pet that dog” like the YouTube video. They’re laughing at it, good progress for day one.
Mini Delta has started reminding me that she starts high school next year every time we talk. So that's fun.
Anyone's kid develop a stutter all of a sudden? Seems to be making some progress with listening and some mindefulness. Went on vacation and he was actually really solid the whole time and both plane rides. Slept 95% of the flight home (first easy fight in with a child). But now all of a sudden he's starting to get stuck on a word and just say "b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-because." At times I think he's kinda messing around b/c he smiles and laughs as soon as he says the word. But daycare noticed it and said he was trying to get help from the teacher, couldn't get out his words, then got frustrated and went and sat sad in the corner. He was a late talker b/c of tubes in his ears, but caught up. I think he's had some delays and used "non-verbal" communication longer than a lot of kid due to it. I don't want this to backslide
