Watching aquaman tomorrow... after watching Justice league again...Superman, Not even krypton can kill him now, right?
Just a theroy in my head.... now that he’s be brought back from the dead. I’m not a comic guy. So I could totally be wrong. He just looks unbeatable now.....
Bad editing made it seem that way. The original cut had the whole team kicking ass. He was strong but not stronger than kryptonite.
Also this irked me about Aquaman Spoiler The World believing Atlantis and Atlanteans didn't fucking exist, yet the events of MOS, BVS and JL happened. Alien invasion, no fucking problem but Atlantis and Atlanteans, that can't possibly exist.
I really enjoyed it It's weird that they get Wonder Woman and made an enjoyable Aquaman, but can't figure out Batman and Superman.
saw it this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. It's big, dumb, beautiful, and fun. I also did not expect to be reminded of Tron multiple times during this movie, but the visuals and soundtrack linked up that way several times and I loved it.
I think expectations are significantly higher for Batman and Superman. If they released a Batman film the same quality as Wonder Woman or Aquaman it would get torn apart.
It’s hard for DC because you just can’t recreate that same kind of world that Nolan did with Batman with other characters. He grounded him in reality a bit and you just can’t really do that with the rest of the DC main roster.
I know. I am more of a marvel guy, but Batman is my all time favorite. The feeling I had watching the Nolan movies I doubt I will ever get again, esp with these clowns running this world. It tough to mix him in with everyone else because he is just a regular guy so to speak. But will make lots of money and the wheel continues to turn. Happy for Mamoa though, liked that guy.
Solid B for Aquaman. Enjoyed the visuals (Tron and Avatar feelings) and the action scenes were extremely well done. The love and sentimental scenes were a bit much and the acting in some spots was spotty and too “obviously this is a superhero movie” style which made me question why they dragged the movie out that extra 30 minutes. (they could have cut this movie down 20-30 minutes and it wouldn’t have changes a thing about this movie) But overall good story. Would go see again for sure.
I watched Titans over the last few days and enjoyed it way more than I expected. thought it was really well done. edit - I should add I was not a comic book reader growing up so inaccuracies in character origins don’t bother me as long as they make sense within the story.
On track to make over $900 mil at the worldwide Boxoffice too Aquaman Will Be DC's Biggest Hit Movie Since The Dark Knight Rises http://www.ign.com/articles/2019/01...biggest-hit-movie-since-the-dark-knight-rises
Yeah, Aquaman was a huge improvement from DC - they look like they're using what's worked in the past and getting rid of all the dark shit that hasn't. And this film is easily the best looking of the DC films so far - visually beautiful with great lighting. By no means perfect, but so much better! Easy 8/10.
I enjoyed Aquaman. It wasn't really about anything and could have been chopped down by at least 30 mins, but I enjoyed the spectacle of it all. I also like Momoa and Amber Heard looked good.
DC Animated is doing a two part adaptation of The Long Halloween, also known as a top three Batman story ever. Am excited
