Now your moving the goal posts. Its a connected universe, loosely and one sided, but still connected. Guess we'll see if any of the Netflix actors get recast if/when the appear in movies.
I enjoyed it. They didn't spoil anything or give anything away like people were bitching about with the other DC movies.
It'll wind up being a semi "fun, summer tentpole, Michael Bay" movie. It'll make money bc of the characters but get panned by critics and fans. Just like BvS, disappointing with missed opportunities.
I have a feeling that Superman is going to have a Luke Skywalker role in this movie. Not show up until the very end.
I liked the trailer And I think the movie will be pretty good too. Wonder Woman looks to be really good and JL same.
The dude is nuts and awesome. I have a client who is best friends with him. Momoa hooks him up with a job, producers want to kill my client off and Jason loses his shit and threatens everyone, at a bar and flips a table and it was terrific
Yes please Gotham City Sirens: Jessica Chastain Open To Playing Poison Ivy There used to be a time when being in a big-screen superhero movie was the “in-thing” to do in Hollywood – in a bad way, that is. Once-great franchises like Tim Burton’s Batman (and first sequel Batman Returns) began to spiral out of control under the direction of Joel Schumacher with Batman Forever, and eventually met its demise with Batman & Robin, as every actor with a heartbeat wanted a piece of it. Simply put, the final Batman movie in the 1980s and ’90s saga just became too overstuffed with heroes and villains, and as a result, characters like Uma Thurman’s Poison Ivy got lost in madness, ultimately leaving fans in utter disappointment. Thanks to the success of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, the door was swung wide-open for more DC superheroes and villain movies in the DC Extended Universe, including, of course, David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. Ayer is now working on the spinoff, Gotham City Sirens, which will feature a trio of Gotham’s most notorious female criminals, including Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). Another potential candidate for the movie appears to be Jessica Chastain, whose fiery red locks alone seem to make her a natural to harvest a new and improved Poison Ivy for movie fans. In an interview with Cinema Blend, Chastain seems to be open to the idea: “I’m interested in all things where the characters are strong and dynamic, and not stereotypes or objects. I like female characters that are subjects, not objects. And so, if Poison Ivy happens to be that, sure. Throw my hat in the ring.” Cinema Blend deduced Chastain’s answer to mean that “strong and dynamic” and “female characters that are not objects” to be the operative words, if she were to agree to play Poison Ivy – and given the direction of the DCEU, she should have little to worry about. After all, Harley Quinn commanded the audience’s attention in Suicide Squad with her strength, wit and wiles; and the trailers for Wonder Woman have left no doubt in fans’ minds that Gal Gadot’s formidable Amazonian is going to continue to kick some serious butt, much in the way she did in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and promises to do in Justice League. In a movie genre that attracting more and more Oscar-caliber talent, two-time Academy Award nominee Chastain would be a great addition to the DCEU, and not just because she would breathe a new and exciting life into Poison Ivy. Her impressive acting chops brings a certain amount of clout with it – more so than Megan Fox and Mr. Robot’s Stephanie Corneliussen, who have also expressed interest in the role – and casting her in Gotham City Sirens will undoubtedly help speed up the film’s development process.
Jessica Chastain is super hot and an amazing actress and super hot. If any of you haven't seen "A Most Violent Year", you need to.
Supposed runtime for JL is just shy of 3 hours. Seems they won't be editing shit for an Ultimate Uncut Version. ... There will still be an Ultimate Uncut Super Awesome More Footage Version.
I didn't hear that, thought it was going to be Netflix. That's something I'd actually be excited for if D.C. Pulls their head out of their ass. Dick Grayson is a great character
WW looks so good that if it's above average it will cause justice league to be huge Sidenote flying bug things look stupid
See this is why the recent D.C. Films are getting trashed by critics because of the length and all the little storylines and side plots being crammed into one movie. Snyder didn't even need to add the Bruce Wayne origin in the beginning of BvS - nothing from that added to his character besides his mothers name of Martha when he was battling Superman. They could have done something very quick and let that be the end of his story. The audience doesn't need to be educated on the history of Bruce Wayne, it's condescending and it desaturates the character of Batman/Bruce Wayne. I like Snyder's vision, because he tries to stay true to the comics, but it's too much. Now guess what? We will have to sit through origins of Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg.
Those all need origins though. And from the looks of it, only their origin in JL will be covered in the movie, while their actual origins will happen in their own movies, as they should.
The more times I watch the JL trailer, the more times it wins me over. I am now a big fan. That trailer seems to embrace my dreams for a JL movie I had when I was 12. Yes, Snyder trailers are always great, despite the overall quality of the movie, but I'm sold.
