Jared Leto's Days as the Joker Are Reportedly Over http://www.ign.com/articles/2019/10...reportedly-over-todd-phillips-joaquin-phoenix
I kinda give Leto a pass. He can be a really good actor at times. It was a shitty movie and no real reason for the Joker to be in it. He had to go in a wildly different direction from Ledger's Joker and took a chance.
I agree with this take. I don’t think he did a HORRIBLE job with the Joker. And following Heath made it infinitely more difficult. but I think the movie being so terrible made it out to be a worse Joker than most would actually think had the movie been at least decent.
Joker should have been the main villain of SS. The director said that was his original idea but shit changed. Maybe the studio made him? Leto was on screen for like 6 minutes. I think with a proper script he could have done well. Oh well he gone. Who will be Battison’s Joker?
I remember hearing the original movie was a lot darker in tone, and when BvS was criticized for its darkness the studio made them basically reshoot it to be a lot lighter.
They can definitely do it. Supposedly The Batman takes place early in his career. They can have hints of The Joker hovering around at least the first two films without a full on reveal.
There's plenty of villains out there to make a good movie without having to rehash the Joker. Who ever gets the gig will be compared to 3 great actors who already played the role. Give me a good Hush, Mr Freeze, Zsasz, Hugo Strange, Black Mask etc. Seems they've finally learned we don't need an origin story for every new actor.
Could see them using this to tie a future movie together using HBO Max to tie the universe together but they've stated that they don't want that. https://www.comicbookmovie.com/dc_f...er-bros-new-hbo-max-streaming-service-a171365
Thats the worst Super Hero movie of all time right? Considering the source material and then what we got, it has to be the worst.
Read somewhere that Pattinson is training with the same martial arts instructor that Keanu uses for John Wick
In terms of big name movies, it's among the very worst. Superman III and IV Supergirl Batman & Robin X-Men 3 Fant4stic Suicide Squad
Catwoman for script Batman and Robin for cheesiness Superman 3 and 4 for backstory Origin: Wolverine for just being a hot mess
Just watched Shazam and wanted to know... Spoiler if his foster siblings have all of his powers or one of his powers. They seemed to waffle between both scenarios.
I guess we are back to the positives but I was reading this thread over and talking about the worst movies in comic book history. I think this scene is where I finally stopped believing God existed:
Snyder has been posting a lot of bts pics from JL the last few weeks. I'm sure his version wouldn't have been much better than Whedon's but I'm sure I still would've preferred it https://vero.co/zacksnyder/MmgD-RjrcvD4Bs7MBLpRg12T
