Never believe anything from Cosmic Book News
You thought he was the best thing in Justice League? I thought he and Batman in general were horrible in that movie.
He was good in BvS, although I thought WW's part in that movie was by far the most entertaining. It just wasn't a big role.
What made you feel like he was a better Batman in BvS? Granted, I blame a lot of the issues with the script and its portrayal of Batman, but, while the course correct was jarring, I think it presented a better Batman than BvS.
As for Affleck, I’ve enjoyed him in the role in general.
I thought Affleck just didn't care in JL, whereas I thought he really tried in BvS.
Also, from a story standpoint, he actually did shit in BvS that made you see him as a super hero. In JL that character looked really out of place compared to the others. Maybe that was a Whedon thing, and Whedon had similar problems in the first two Avengers movies with Cap.
I’m just genuinely flummoxed by people thinking MOS, BvS, and JL are good. I prefer the Russos to Whedon but I bet that if he had the reigns from the start, the DC universe wouldn’t be a dumpster fire. Snyder is terrible.
Whedon is terrible
Been watching and reading alot of DC during the Quarantine.
Superman Red Son movie
Teen Titans show
Teen Titans Go! movie
Metal/Batman Who Laughs comics
Birds of Prey
You can't seriously tell me you think this thing looks good...
If you’re asking me to judge it by that picture alone (that was created in some 3D illustration program) then I may agree and say it doesn’t look too great.
However, I haven’t seen the live-action film yet, so it’s difficult to denounce the vehicle.
It's essentially a 3D model, not the actual design.
But yes, it looks like a souped up car with pointed fins in the back, very evocative of the old Batmobile. It only needs a big bat-head on the front. I love the idea
Looks better than Nolan's souped up Polaris Razr, IMO.
I like it so far, will reserve judgement
It looks more like a retro Knight Rider than a Batmobile
Really enjoying Doom Patrol
The MoS trailer is one of the all time greats. I was so excited. Then Superman killed someone.
And yet the first Avengers is better than anything from Snyder.
Finished it the other day. Loved it. Can't wait for S2 to start.
Watching Titans right now. Also Fantastic. Will likely start Swamp Thing or Star Girl next.
Schumacher is a better director than what Batman & Robin would indicate. In fact, if anything he showed how good a director he was at executing a studio's very bad idea/vision for the movie. His Batman Forever could have been really great had he been allowed to make it what he wanted.
Makes sense if it's Flashpoint-esque or if they use the movie to explore alternate realities.
What was that?
Thomas Wayne Batman? I’m in
He wanted Batman Forever to be a lot less silly. He wanted Chase Meridian to dig into Bruce/Batman's psyche and understand why someone would do what Bruce does. It was going to be a lot more psychological thriller when he first signed on to the movie. Overtime, 90% of that got lost in development, and all that remains is some deleted scenes that don't even scratch the surface of all he wanted to do.
Not saying Joel was the right guy for Batman, not at all, but the guy who made The Lost Boys could have made a really moody, heady film with the character. He just never really cared about the source material enough to fight for it. When WB said "make it a cartoon" he basically said "yeah okay" and went with it.
We saw some of it right? The diary? The big ass bat?
Apparently this isn't happening now. Who knows though for sure.
Yeah I saw that just after I posted it. I think the Flash movie has gone through more re-writes than anything else in the DCEU. Probably because they know it's their one chance to create an in-universe solution to all the problems caused by the failure of the Snyder movies.
Must be doing Flashpoint?
Batman beyond take my energy
Val kinda unfairly gets lumped into this as well.
Maybe but he was a class-three prick and a half during the shoot.
Then again, Tommy Lee Jones walked up to Jim Carrey on their first day together and said "I do not abide your brand of comedy." so there was a lot of friction to go around.
Harley Quinn show is fantastic
I rolled from that right into Doom Patrol. DC makes good television.
animated films are tops.
Its not like they have a movie planned that can perfectly reboot the franchise and keep what works and dump what doesn't, but that would be too easy.
You easily reboot the universe by just doing the flashpoint storyline
:thats the joke:
God this is such a good scene
Winter is the writer from Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire
