I’m watching college game day because I couldn’t bear to watch the end. First time watching this in a while
Translated to football, we must have been the ten point favorites over Sheffield today like Mizzou. Even with homer bias, I’m only 25% in my thinking that The Cocks actually win. All I’m really hoping for is that the game doesn’t play out where we go down big early and somehow crawl back in the game and blow the opportunity to win in the last minutes. Liverpool and Clemson are so far ahead of my teams, that’s how low the bar is right now in what I’d be happy with. An early defeat.
Atlanta United was the only sporting outcome that worked out well for me today. Saw the end of the Cal-Ole Miss game at Mercedes Benz Stadium and had to laugh at the ending that was unfortunately very Ole Miss. I did actually go to the Ole Miss game in Berkeley two years and had a great time, the result of the game not withstanding. I'm a big fan of the Bay Area in general so I wasn’t all that surprised.
Yeah all the Cal fans say the same about Oxford they having a great time! Man you guys got lucky against my Quakes lol another wild game and shit officiating all the way around but you guys deserved the 3 points
I’ll just say this - MLS refs make the worst EPL refs look great by comparison, even the Mike Dean’s of the world. I’ll need to watch the replay on the DVR to see why Almeyda got sent off.
Do we show any self respect today and take out the Sheff Weds? Or do we throw in 535663 crosses again and give up a set piece goal and lose while holding 93% of the possession ?
Yeah nice build up on DCL 2 goals but seems like a lot of just chucking into the box and hoping something happened, apparently Holgate looked really good Sibide is shaky defending but looked good going forward
Our other RB has been shaky for the last two seasons and he’s getting slower and has always been a terrible crosser of the ball.
We drew Watford at home for the next round. Chelsea play Man united and Arsenal play Liverpool so that’s good.
Our future at RB is quite the mystery. Monaco sell pretty much everyone they loan out so If Sidibe proves to be good enough I imagine we wouldn’t have trouble keeping him. It seems like every English player who has gone on loan to Germany enjoyed the experience so worst case scenario is Jonjoe Kenny develops but wants to go back. I’ve never been much of a Jonjoe believer. I want the Danish RB who plays for Genk Mæhle. He has the same agent as Lössl so perhaps my hopes have a fighting chance.
Pep will light a fire under their ass at halftime because they will lose control of their own fate if they don’t win.
Pretty much the same shitty lineup out there as long as Delph, Gylfi and Morgan are out there I don’t see much offense being generated
At least after we lose, we won’t be the team that people make fun of during the international break. Thanks to Tottenham, nobody will even notice how bad things are going.
Silva needs to go just for continuously starting Morgan who is a middling MLS level player.......how much longer before Kean asks out ?
If he’s not out soon, go have a look at the December schedule. I’ll give him a 1% chance he’s still manager on New Years Day. #TeamPoch
I want to find see how bad August fixture congestion can get for a team playing in the Championship while also getting through Europa League qualifiers. Whoever advances between us and Watford in the Carabao Cup might have a fighting chance to experience the literal cluster fuck of a schedule.
To pile on the sadness, Gana scored a goal for PSG today. Yes, Idrissa Gueye, our old best player who could do it all except score goals did just that. We could use that goal scoring prowess.
I have so much resentment for Gbamin because his injury two games in fucked us into having to play shit tier Morg, damn Gana is so missed
Without cheating or don’t answer if you already know, guess where the advanced statistics site five thirty eight has us ranked among all the club teams in the world? The lost to Burnley is already included so it’s as up to date as one could imagine.
