It's been pretty cool reading previews and listening to preseason pods about Koeman. When people say good things about the manager, it's nice to hear them talk about tactics and getting the most out of his players, rather than how nice of guy he is.

It's kind of unavoidable at the moment to not upset either Mirallas or Deulofeu with who is available. Both are pretty prolific pouters. I heard on an Everton podcast that Joel is butthurt about not being the starting keeper. I would have thought he would have been delighted that we didn't buy a keeper worth 20 million or higher. I think his self-worth is a little inflated mainly because the crowd at Goodison absolutely hated Howard the last two seasons.
Roberto would call up Kevin to Belgium not even thinking of the possibility that maybe the reason he is playing so much better is the new manager. It perfectly illustrates how Roberto is too nice to be a top manager. Belgium is loaded with players that play his position but he apparently has forgiven him for all the self-generated transfer rumors and getting sent off a minute after coming on as a substitute.
