And Ace couldn't wrap his head around why we were all pleased that Spurs stole him from us at the last minute.
Koeman has said a couple things in the media this week that he probably should have kept him to himself. He said he thinks Liverpool will win the league and that Lukaku should be playing for a better club than Everton. Neither statement is outlandish but to say it publicly is just outright foolish. Also, whenever Lukaku gets himself back in the press' good graces, he usually begins a terrible run of form. He becomes less of a team player when this happens.
I honestly don't give a shit about either of those two things. Rom can't be the best in Europe at Everton. That's a fact. As for Liverpool winning the title, could just be early manager games
That moment where you're excited by a Seamus Coleman goal, then realized you needed it to steal a point from Swansea... at home.
We keep getting worse. 0 shots on target in the last two away games. 13 shots against. People who were good are digressing (Gana and Lukaku). At least when we looked like shit in the back last year, we were still scoring goals.
I don't really care where in the back four he plays or who gets dropped at his expense but Holgate needs to play more. I'm starting to believe it wasn't much of a coincidence that our good form ended around the time he was undeservedly dropped to accommodate players coming back from injury.
Sucks for Bolasie. I guess we will be seeing a lot more of Deulofeu from now on in addition to Mirallas and Lennon.
We owe Tottenham some gratitude for "stealing" Sissoko from us because we would be a laughing stock for the amount of money spent on two similar, yet unremarkable players in Sissoko and Bolasie.
The rumor mills are linking us with Memphis and Schniederlin. If I could choose only one, I think I'd go Schniederlin. Mainly because of his widely reported lackluster work ethic. I'd still be excited about taking a chance on Memphis. If Koeman can't get him to take his career more seriously, I doubt anyone can.
Don't let the facts cover a good story... he's been our best creative player this year and the only fucker to create chances
I don't really mind if a team sucks/loses but is entertaining. However, I've found myself not enjoying this Everton team at all. They are currently just so meh. Not a good feeling.
We need an injection of something. Our youth setup is good, but it doesn't seem like Koeman trusts youth players (ironic given where we got him from). McCarthy, Funes Mori, Mirallas, Gerry, and even Baines and Coleman are all not good right now.
And also, Koeman just keeps trying to put new pieces into his stupid 4-3-3, when it's clear we work better in something else. We had the numbers in the midfield today, but looked like shit.
The 1-1 equalizer from Watford was downright atrociously lazy defending. I really liked Koeman but it doesn't seem like the team is buying into what he's selling.
Considering he's out for the season and having suffered a serious injury in his late twenties, I'll be surprised if we are able to look back on him as "money well spent" when it is all said & done. We've been shit without him so he was definitely one of our best players.
I dont disagree with that. I was just commenting on him being one of our better players. Did he have a history with injuries. If so I guess you can take that into account as a poor decision when they signed him. So money well spent - maybe not, but more too bad luck than a bad decision, right?
A silver lining that can be taken from this is that Bolasie was funded from selling the calamity of a defender known as John Stones.
Why cant we play like this every week? This second half has been great. Think Rom is getting gassed tho
That finish was crazy. Very entertaining and nerve-racking at the same time, particularly after the Williams goal.
I'm guessing time will show that it was more of a classic Arsenal Collapse than an Everton turnaround.
