I saw that Swansea want £40 million for him. I'd love to have him, but there are better players out there we can get for that kind of money. Michael Keane for £25 would be delicious.
It's crazy to think that United will be getting more money off of a secondary sale of a Keane than they had to pay a then record fee of £3.75 million for one of their GOATS Roy Keane. It kind of baffles me that those sort of contract stipulations aren't illegal. United could essentially bribe the right people to make that deal happen with 1 million and receive 4 million for something they have no business being involved in.
Gerry (and to a greater extent Niasse) was basically Pep Guardiola's Joe Hart to Koeman. I guess they never bonded over their Barcelona connections. Barring injuries, there isn't a more impossible depth chart to top than playing on the wing for Barcelona. The reported price tag for Sandro seems way too low. Malaga must be flat broke to sell someone that is only 21 that scored 16 goals in only 31 appearances so cheaply. I think we have Atletico's transfer ban to thank for that.
I'm not really sure why Barca bought him back, especially without being able to move him on for a year. When is he ever going to play for them?
The weirdest coicidence that has occurred to me in my life happened last night as I was watching the show The Thick of It (the British precursor to Veep and every bit as good). Less than a minute after I stumble across this Wayne Rooney shit in the news there is a line on the show which I will paraphrase "You don't see Wayne Rooney still scoring goals for Everton do you?" Seems to me a bad omen. Soccer is barely mentioned at all in the entire show. The shows creator isn't very fond.
I mean I knew he would leave, just hate that its for another bpl club. I mean ffs, go to france or something
His agent was never going to allow him to leave England. With his clients, it's all about media exposure. And the only places that can provide the amount he wants are the PL or the big two in Spain. Not even Bayern are worthy I bet. I just wish we could have worked Rashford into the deal. Leicester are apparently getting Iheanacho for £25 million and I would be all over that.
I remember last summer Pogba and Lukaku were playing basketball here in America. I think he joined the Pogfam that day. I wonder if Ibra never gets hurt if this would have happened. Keep in mind, same cunt of an agent.
So Chelsea matched Man U's offer. A bidding war has to be good, I guess. losing Rom just fucking sucks. The only thing that can cure my tears would be Naismith's return to Goodison
Lukaku should have signed for Man U as soon as the offer was accepted. I only see this ending by Rom showing both the fans of Chelsea and United how hard he is to deal with since he signed on with Raiola.
From everything I saw with him in the U-21 EUROS, he's gonna play out wide as our second striker, like Kev. Good goal scorer and hopefully he produces some good goals before being good enough to go back to Barca
It was a stroke of genius getting the bulk of moves done before this massive influx of cash. I sort of feel bad for Malaga for how badly we fucked them without even a courtesy lick. Say if Rooney hadn't come in, who do you think would have taken the number ten shirt? Ross would have been the easy choice before this whole contract uncertainty popped up. Who are some of the players out there that you guys think we could realistically sign that you would like to see? I don't care if we've been linked or not. I want either Kasper Dolberg, Embolo from Schalke, or Renato Sanches who is unhappy at Bayern. And apparently both Leicester and Mahrez have had enough of each other. I doubt we are his ideal destination but his stock is quite low at the moment and unless someone like Arsenal or Liverpool come in, we might be his best choice.
It doesn't seem like Dolberg is a realistic choice at the moment :/. My list for now in order from realistic to most unrealistic would go: Gylfi- Looks to be done, but you can't be sure Josh King (A proven EPL goal scorer with pace) Nacho (same as above and in that age bracket that Koeman has been signing) Giroud (Would be hold up play like we haven't seen in at least 4 years) Dolberg VVD (I've seen we offered £60 million, that would be us spending the Lukaku money.)
The powers that be at Swansea (sweet rhyme I just dropped) are in for a shitstorm from their supporters if they sell their most important player to us for a second straight summer. Especially because losing Ashley Williams almost got them relegated and definitely would have gone down without Gylfi. It's always a terrible idea for clubs like Swansea to sell their best players because the players that they can now afford to buy don't want to go somewhere that just sold their biggest star and could realistically go down the next season.
Yeah but if we pay £40 million, they are getting way more for him than they should. To the fans it's a passion, to the owners, it's a business.
If FIFA ratings are to be trusted, that crown has been passed on to a tiny lad named Ryan Gauld that plays for Sporting Lisbon. I guess since that's where Ronaldo started he Scottish Ronaldo is more appropriate.
The kit might as well be sponsored by 50 Shades of Grey. They might as well start marking them down the second they are on the racks because not many people will want to buy those bland kits.
Seamus wasn't listed on the traveling squad by the club. I assume Bolasie has a big name in that area (he's of Congolese descent IIRC) so that part makes sense. Will hardly be shocked if he's sold or anything, just not sure this is that big a deal.
Seamus cares too much to miss something like that. He texts the radio guys during the away matches while he's injured.
