If I was easily run off, I wouldn't have chosen to support a team that hasn't won any silverware in my lifetime. I kind of figured we'd be a letdown based on how we spent our money coupled with having already faced every title contented so far. Klaasen was an incredibly dumb purchase having the double baggage of being an Eredivisie stat machine and a Dutch central midfielder. They've had endless busts with prospects there in the last five years. Keane was just a one season wonder and Burnley are doing much better without him. And I'll never understand why we didn't at least sign some C Team version of Lukaku so they could have at least claimed that they tried to replace our all time goal premier league goal scorer record holder.
We might as well recall everyone on loan because Koeman and his horrible trait of freezing players out after barely taking a look at them was so stupid. Anyone young player that so much as sneezed in his vicinity was done for.
There is nothing good about this team at the moment. We try to be direct, but can’t string 2 passes together. Our defense is all over the place.
No matter how long Banigime plays for Everton, his name will always register as Bangingme when I see it written. All I ask is that we take things slow.
At least we don't risk having to face anymore European humiliation if we somehow squeak out a third place finish in the group like the ones in the CL do.
One of the players I wanted during the window scores against us of course. I wish we could go back in time and not buy Klaasen and use that money on Memphis. Bertrand Traore would have been fine by me too. But no, we got another slooooow central midfielder who we are already stockpiled with.
Some of our supporters that never really cared for Rom (none of whom preside here but there are an astonishingly large number on Merseyside) get to be smug for today at least. Mourinho did him no favors by making him such a big story in the media recently.
If the contract terminates the second staying up is assured, I have no problems with it.(I'm aware this in no way is a possibility) We've taken more shallackings in the last two months than we have in all of my four years as an Evertonian put together. We're pretty much the Tennessee of the Premier League right now so I'm just happy we didn't let Unnsworth stay in the job much longer before the December onslaught of games.
The score might flatter Everton a bit but at least the players should gain some modicum of confidence going forward.
This Yeah, after Southampton I just had this awful feeling that we would go down with goal difference being the terrible kick in the nuts as the deciding factor. I guess we're blessed that a lot of the blowouts came in Europa League play. #AlwaysLookOnTheBrightSideOfLife
So I guess it's pretty safe to assume that Sandro and Klaasen's illustrious Everton careers will be finished in about a month. We'll be lucky to get 25% of what we paid for Klaasen back. The list of flops that have been exported from the Eredivisie in the last five years or so is impressive.
Koeman should have been fired for the sole reason of starting DCL at right back for a coupe of matches. Not addressing the Lukaku sized hole in attack was horrible enough, but wasting the next best option at RB was Trump level insane.
Time to part with Big Sam and bring in a young manager with potential now that we're secure in mid-table.
EA does a lot of shit I don’t like but the El Tornado thing and only allowing guys to do it in game who have proven they can do it in real life has been cool. After Valeri won MVP he then worked on it and uploaded a video. Saw David Meyler, Hull City CM (plays a lot and actually captained Ireland in some matches for WCQ) and FIFA youtuber (regularly makes Elite in Weekend League and was Elite 1 for October) said he’s working on it
I feel bad for Besiktas fans. Either Cenk Tosun is the most diehard Evertonian on the planet or he needs a quick infusion of cash.
This Theo Walcott transfer is all around depressing. Spending that much money on a player that is fragile and can no longer rely on his once prolific speed is silly.
Sort of glad for the new NBC Gold subscription, which I didn’t pay for, so I can’t watch this each week. Not sure the last time we got a shot on goal
