not great from Araujo since coming on game has taken years off my life ..so pissed they couldn’t hold on in stoppage time
Hard to be mad at the team or Flick, but no matter how great offensively you are if you can’t defend, you’re not going to win too many trophies. Seven goals in a two legged tie is unforgivable.
so many just awful concessions sommer doing god damn cartwheels no luck off the woodwork just wasn’t meant to be
Hopefully we win La Liga because I fear this is the best of what we’re going to get from Flick’s team with Barca. I’ll believe we don’t have financial troubles and can reinforce squad depth when I see it, and Flick’s Bayern side got worse every single year (especially defensively which is shocking to think about).
I want to believe this loss is going to stick with the young ones. One of those losses that galvanizes them to future success.
Difficult to complain about Flick if they hold onto La Liga but the two biggest issues are 1. The lack of control late in games w a lead. biggest examples being Atlético Madrid twice and today. 2. managing minutes for Lamine and others when he had chances. Extra time game before Leg 1 and extra time game before the final El Classico is brutal.
I loathe ESPN FC, but they’re not wrong. Individual mistakes aside, the last five minutes we should’ve had everybody behind the ball. We do that and we win.
I'm not going to lie, down 2-0 I wasn't worried at all. I was convinced this was our year in CL. I had to drop my son off at his lacrosse game, so I sat in my car watching on my phone during their warm ups and I honestly could have shed a tear.
I too thought this was our year. Now, make fun all you want but I seriously believe that this lose kicks off a run of great seasons from this team. All the talk this season has been about the youngsters and I truly think this loss and the veterans around them ignite something in the kids. I think we see more than just a La Liga win next year.
So this weekend is finally here. My nephew has been in contact with the guy from home fans. In case there is any interest, I’ll pass along how his experience was once he’s back in June. This guy seems to have corner seats pretty close judging by IG pics Will be cool if they’re able to get one of these like the host posted for Bayern back in the fall Basically this guy has a bunch of tickets and is like their tour guide. Bilingual and meets up with them ahead of time then takes them to the game. Thanks to aisle seven for making me aware this was even a thing
having the early game certainly works out better with scheduled mothers day activities, but it seems like they always play worse during this time slot so idk
Not starting Balde if he is fit wasn’t smart another embarrassing start team hasn’t quite been the same since Dortmund Leg 2
The high line shit just has to go. How as a competent manager you can watch them get decimated by speed time and time again and make zero adjustments is beyond me.
with elections coming next year im sure theyll be dumb and make the one big summer move theyll manage to scrape together a big name attacking player, but im hopeful theyll use the success of this season to address gk instead enough smoking polish guys and haunted germans
Sell Araujo to the highest bidder and make sure that Christiansen gets the good drugs for next year. He’s very good when healthy
I'd like to add that it's absolutely insane that going down 2-0 causes me no concern, yet I'm on pins and needles up 4-2. Fix it Flick, fuckin fix it. We have 4 world class center backs when they're at their best, we shouldn't have this shitty of a defense. I didn't see Eric Garcia assuming the Sergi Roberto role, but I love it. In terms of summer importance, I'd rank it: 1. Fullback (RB being highest priority) Martin and Garcia filled in decently, but having true FBs to spell Kounde and Balde would be nice. 2. Young ST (Lewa is getting long in the tooth, Ferran has been pretty damn good but Isak or Gyorkes would be phenomenal) 3. Winger (Nico would be perfect) 4. GK (MATS is getting old, Pena is leaving, who knows what happens with Schezney idk how to spell it) To me, fixing the defense won't require spending, but should happen tactically. We all know what Ronnie is capable of, Cubarsi is coming into his own and is only 18, Inigo is great when he's on, and Christenson just needs to stay healthy.
Obviously doesn’t matter at all today, but Flick has a huge job to do in the off-season with this defense. It’s catastrophically bad
Without fail, every fucking time this stupid ass club takes steps forward there is always some dumb ass shit to take steps back.
Not impressed whatsoever with Deco as the sporting director. Club operates much better when they are broke.
