It's definitely a luxury. I think there will be more rotation up front this season. Messi and Saurez are both getting up there in age.
i didn't say they were missing anybody. i clearly think barcelona has better depth so i don't know what you're getting at.
they have the three best attacking players in the world, one of them being the best player in the history of the sport, and added one of the best spanish strikers who just turned 23. there's no better midfield than iniesta/rakitic/busquets. pique has played like the best CB in the world the past two years. sergi roberto isn't what dani alves was, but he's been nearly seamless at RB. jordi alba is arguably in the top 3 at his position. only position where i'd take a bayern player is goal keeper, obviously.
Bayern has tremendous depth and as good as anyone, they also don't have anything close to Messi-Suarez-Neymar even with elite attacking options themselves
Thanks for the response. First team is obviously up for debate but I'm more interested in the depth discussion. Javi Martinez, Xabi Alonso, Renato Sanches, Douglas Costa, Arjen Robben, Joshua Kimmich, Kingsley Coman, etc
Yeah it's obviously an interesting discussion. Barca has the edge in their starting attacking options with those elite 3. Bayern throws out Neuer, Alaba, Boateng, Hummels, and Lahm as a back 5 and Barca can't top that end of the pitch.
Say Ronaldo cancels messi and bale cancels Neymar, that still leaves Suarez >>> benzema/moratta. Busquets is fairly universally regarded as the best DM in the world. Don't think it would be much of a contest if he weren't so loathed for his earlier flopping years (and yes, he still has ocassional cringe worthy flops). Iniesta is past his prime, but he's still magical when he's on his A game. I firmly believe rakitic is the most underrated mid in Europe right now. I'm very open to hearing a debate on a better midfield, however, because I'm not personally sold on that. Depth is a work in progress. Looks great on paper but it wasn't so hot in execution on Saturday. It's going to take some time, especially with the club seemingly less reliant on la masia these days.
Team turan super sub. As much as I loved pedro in that role, arda is way more of a wildcard. Wasn't as much of a fan paco. Would love to see more of the new players in lesser games, although that's burned us already in league play.
Just got done watching the recording. Lucky as shit to come out of that one with 3. Fuck those fans at the end.
What a fucking game today. Latest reports I've read are it's not as bad as initially feared. Probably out for the rest of 2016 though.
Seriously. That scene is hilarious. A fucking bottle. And people are collapsing like a grenade went off
idk. lucho seems to trust gomes more than denis suarez. i don't think he's ready for that game either
For some reason I thought he'd been out a lot longer than 7 weeks or whatever it is. Makes more sense now I suppose but I wonder how he'll look without a chance to shake off the rust. Umtiti back too I assume? Also why hasn't Arda gotten more of chance with AI out?
umtiti is back. arda has been playing a lot but he was sick this weekend. he should be available for this weekend
win-win interested to see how effective he's able to be. Inability to play out of the back/link with the front 3 has been their biggest problem this season imo so his return could be huge
