valverde isn't my favorite, but he's a good coach. i just don't think he's built for barcelona. sampaoli is a better coach, but barcelona is obsessed with playing the "barcelona" way and he doesn't exactly fit the mold. i just want to win, and sampaoli is the best attainable manager by far
I was listening to the game on the fox sports go app on my way home from work and nearly had a heart attack when he called the last goal.
Was watching at work and I had to close my office door so I could let out a yell on that last goal. Unreal.
Aside from all the BS about the PKs, and in all seriousness, congrats. They never gave up, and that is to be commended even from a Real Madrid fan. Edit: It also helps the La Liga coefficient, not that it needed much help, but still.
It ultimately helps Real Madrid win the league. If we were eliminated, I think we would have won the league with all our focus on it.
Gomes is laughably bad. And all the pundits saying Neymar has been the best player in the world for the last _____ months need to pass me what they're smoking
If barca promote from within I'm going to lose my mind. Time to go fresh outside but they won't because tata
I mean, there's really no reason to promote from within when we aren't relying that much on our academy for first team players anymore.
I just don't get how Alba almost never sees the field anymore. I'd much rather he came on for Mathieu. Hell he should have started the game, I feel better with him against Cuadrado/Alves than fucking Mathieu. Just mind boggling decisions by Lucho recently.
But yeah, we've come along way from some of the crazy awesome tactical shit that Pep would scrap together.
Neymar playing by himself on the left side. Gomes should have started from the beginning. Juve attack slowed down when he came in. Tactics just all the fuck wrong. Getting dominated two years in a row in the quarterfinals.
Can I punch you in the dick since you're closer? No shit the attack slowed. They didn't want to give up an away goal and started subbing to reflect that. Fuck. I'm still pissed off
So whats everyone thinking for this summer? I've gotta think the wishlist includes a younger 3rd CB who might also be able to cover for Busquets in a pinch. Thiago coming back would be a dream, and I think an attacking player with some height who can win headers would be something the team hasn't really had for a while and might present a different option in the attack.
He's best suited for the position of the players we had available. Mascherano was nowhere to be seen on their goals. Gomes broke up possession consistently once coming on
Gomes was really good yesterday. Don't let his season performance cloud your perception of him yesterday. Should have been playing in Busi's spot from the start
