Trixie Racer has a timed workout tomorrow morning at Remington. If it goes well we are going to the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies on November 1st at Santa Anita. $2,000,000 purse.
They bought 12.5% of her at a $900,000 valuation from her owners after her last start. She was a $39,000 purchase at the two year old sale in Ocala.
Nope we decided to not enter her next race is 11/22 in lake Charles - my trusty cat stakes. $100k purse
I like British Idiom in the fillies juvenile. I think the pace set up will work really well for her with Donna Veloce, Wicked Whisper and Bast all wanting the lead. the Godolohin horse in the turf is apparently a beast
So I bet with bookmaker, right now I can bet winners of all of the races but no exotic type bets. I also have a nearby track I can bet at, but can I bet exotics the night before or do I have to do it day of?
If the 4 wins the next race in 15 minutes at Santa Anita I’ll qualify for the $10,000 Breeders Cup Betting Challenge. If he places I most likely will
I'm going to withdraw $7,500 and go to Sam Houston and play as if I was in the BCBC. If anyone is interested in my picks I can post them. Good luck to everyone playing today. One of my favorite weekends of the year.
Will look at the Saturday card for tonight, but here are some quick picks and thoughts for the Breeders Cup card today. Race 5: Juvenile Turf Sprint 1. Kimari (7) 7-2 2. Four Wheel Drive (9) 3-1 3. A'Ali (10) 6-1 Race 6: Juvenile Turf: 1. Our Country (1) 15-1 2. Arizona (12) 5-2 3. Structor (2) 5-1 Race 7: Juvenile Fillies: 1. British Idiom (4) 7-2 2. Donna Veloce (1) 3-1 3. Wicked Whisper (7) 7-2 Race 8: Juvenile Fillies Turf: 1. Sharing (11) 12-1 2. Crystalle (7) 8-1 3. Daahyeh (5) 5-1 Race 9: Juvenile 1. Dennis' Moment (1) 8-5 2. Scabbard (5) 8-1 3. Eight Rings (6) 2-1 On the whole, the three turf races are a lot more wide open to me than the dirt races. Dennis' Moment has looked fantastic his past two starts, and is a single in multi-race wagers for me. Eight Rings is good, but I don't think he's special, and Dennis' Moment was geared down when he beat Scabbard. And with Maxfield scratched, those are pretty clearly the two horses closest to Dennis' Moment. The Juvenile isn't a race I'll have much money on. The Juvenile Fillies looks more evenly matched on paper, but I thought British Idiom's win in the Alcibiades was the best looking stakes performance of this group. The wildcard is Donna Veloce, who looked great in her maiden race and has the fastest figure in the field. However, it is asking a lot to jump from a maiden race to a Breeders Cup field in which there is other speed and is a sizeable jump in distance. If there is a superstar in the field, it is probably Donna Veloce, and I'll probably use her a little bit defensively in multi-race wagers, but the vast majority of my multi-race wagers will go through British Idiom. Don't have as strong of opinions on the turf races, and those will be races I spread quite a bit and hope to get a price in there to go along with British Idiom and Dennis' Moment. I do like Our Country at a bit of a price in the Juvenile Turf, and at least one of Sharing or Crystalle should be usable prices in the Juvenile Fillies Turf. I do feel a little bit weird using as many as 6 horses in the Juvenile Filies Turf, and not one of them is a Chad Brown filly when he has such a strong recent history in that race (just don't think Selflessly is quite up to his usual standard). My main pick 4 ticket will look something like this: (for a $1 bet, this would cost $36) Race 6: 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 12 Race 7: 4 Race 8: 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12 Race 9: 1 If you don't want to single British Idiom, a backup pick 4 ticket would look something like this: (for a $1 bet, this would cost $32) Race 6: 1, 2, 5, 12 Race 7: 1, 4 Race 8: 3, 5, 7, 11 Race 9: 1
It's more likely than not that I'll end up singling British Idiom. Just wanted to provide a second option if someone wants to play multi-race wagers and didn't want to have two singles, and I'd rather use Donna Veloce than Wicked Whisper/Bast or any horse in the Juvenile if I was going to use a second, since I prefer her upside to those others.
I think DV and wicked whisper are going to run each other into the ground wouldn’t be surprised to see something like 22-4, 46, 1.11 which would set up perfect for British Idiom
Brendan Walsh scratches Vitalogy (my top pick) out of the juvenile turf and Maxfield out of the juvenile. Wow I would either be hammered drunk or wouldn’t be able to get out of bed for a week what awful luck for him
Also a decent chance I’ll be taking Scabbard against Dennis Moment in the juvenile. Not sure but I kind of want to make Dale Romans beat me in a $2m race from the rail
$10 tri. 8/9 - 4/5/8/9 - 1/4/5/8/9 $180 total $50 exacta 8/9 - 4/5/8/9 - $300 and I have my $50 double that pays to the 8 that will pay $1,700 if it hits
I took some fliers on The Bear's picks to win Juvenile Turf Sprint- Band Practice Juv. Turf- Andesite and Structor Juvenile Fillies- Lazy Daisy Juv. Fillies Turf- Daahyeh and Croughvouke Some of them are pretty long odds so if one hits I make money.
I wanna put some money on race 8, i don't really gamble. I'd feel almost guilty if I didn't bet my buddy's horse. I don't know what to do...
When you bet a horse to win, it's pretty dumb to also bet place or show right? or would that be just boxing a horse? You can only box exactas and trifectas, right?
If you are just doing it for your buddy is just get a ticket on a win and let it ride unless his odds are long and then maybe you play a trifecta with two of the favorites. I’d probably just play him to win and cheer for your pal.
Holy shit just watched the replay of the 7s last race that might’ve been the worst trip I d ever seen
So we like the 4 in this next race? Who should I throw it in with on an exacta? The 2 and the 6 maybe?
