Went to Xin Chao the other day. Co-chef is the Blind Goat owner / chef (Christine Ha). Highly recommend it.
Absolutely. Blind Goat is probably my favorite place in town. It’s nice to have a brick and mortar place to go to. Will definitely be back.
I don’t understand the love for roegels. It’s like one step above Dickey’s Pinkertons is the best in town
I live right by Levy Park. I walked over to Woodshed this week. Their BBQ was pretty good. I haven't hit enough places to compare. I really enjoy Pinkerton’s, The Pit Room, and Pizzitola’s.
That location has been like four different things starting with Beavers and they’ve all been great. Goes to show how tough the restaurant biz can be.
I guess this explains why the quality has gone down a bit at cantina barba. Their attention has been elsewhere. https://houston.eater.com/2021/5/19/22443897/fitzcarraldo-open-houston-east-downtown-cantina-barba
Rudy’s and roegels are about the same the venn diagram of people who like roegels and who are still upset about Kay’s closing is a circle
Going to the #Houston Dynamo game tonight. I don't think I’ve been in a few seasons. No clue if they are good or not but live sports and beer. Any plans for the Houston folks?
….have you been to pit room, truth, or Pinkertons? Roegels is dog food when compared with those places
A lot of fun. Crowd wasn’t that big but had good energy. The tickets were free from Kroger so couldn’t beat that price. Many drinks were had. The night cap at The Cellar turned into closing the bar down. Good times.
I know this is pretty last minute, but do any of you Houston guys want tickets on the first level to the Astros game tonight (Sec 125)? It's dollar dog night in case that helps. EDIT: they're also free tickets in case that helps
I wish I wasn’t stuck in Mexico City I’d take them off your hands. Both flights have been delayed today.
