Have to ask my wife the name. Her Vietnamese coworker would go get lunch there and always get me bun bo hue. She was convinced I was Vietnamese. I know it’s in Bellaire.
We are looking at our old place, but we found a house in the heights by the liberty kitchen there as well.
I’ve had the one in the heights It was great I like Les Givrals for Vietnamese. There’s a Thai place called Night Market in Bellaire that is a must go
We lived within walking distance to the liberty kitchen on San Felipe and really like that area but if this house in the heights pans out we will probably take it because it has a front and backyard for our dog. I don’t mind taking her out but it would be nice to just open the back door and let her go out without taking her to the park.
Miss me some banh mis. Watched Street Foods on Netflix and the Vietnam one was like food porn. There’s no good Vietnamese places where we are now and I grew up on Vietnamese food so I’m going to go on a food frenzy when I get there.
I will miss living in the Heights. When I eventually move back to Houston in the next 10 years I’ll be right back there most likely
Well hello possible future neighbor. Between LK, field and tides, BCK and Helen my wife and I often come to an impasse and wind up at Berry Hill.
The one we are looking at is on Studewood. Found a few more townhomes over by the galleria as well. Going to use our old place on post oak park as backup. Looking for a place with a yard for the dog

That a pretty nice area? Took a walk down google street and looked nice. Hadn’t spent a lot of time there when we lived there but it’s a good deal. There is just a ton of condos and townhomes available for the same price or less than our 1br/1bath apartment at our old place. Looking at one by Memorial Park and a few in Midtown. Pretty pumped to get back to civilization again. Mississippi is ok but not so much on the cultural aspect.
Alright forgot to ask a more important question - where should I stay? I’ll have a rental car and land around 7pm - want to have a nice dinner somewhere and only thing to do is 11am meeting the next day in Missouri City.
I know everyone is wondering what I did so had dinner at Brennan’s last night then grabbed lunch at Pinkertons today. Good stuff Houston
Walked right past Perry's to Guadalara. Appreciated. Ate Perry's for an engagement dinner last year. Wedding was out at Houston Oaks in Hockley and it is a spectacular property. Caught some nice bass in the golf ponds. As for Liberty Kitchen, everyone ate there during our wedding weekend and loved it. I want to try it when we're back in town.
Had Liberty Kitchen on Saturday. Missed it so much. It’s walking distance from our place again and probably my favorite restaurant.
Went to Bosscats. Place was legit. They’ve redone that whole area behind The James. Really nice little dog park there as well. Sooie will be a regular there.
I always forget about Houston oaks. There were doubts about both it and bluejack. They survive off people buying plots obviously. HO is just such a better proposition, even though BJN is just fantastic. Easily the better course.
Was going to play this threads favorite rain song but enough baseball fans itt that I’ll post this video instead
It hasn’t rained hard in a bit so it looks like I overplayed my hand tonight. Tomorrow is gonna suck. Happy mother’s day weekend, Mother Nature you win this round.
