Had it last week, it’s legit. I got the sandwich, went with the hot and it’s definitely hot. Do yourself a favor and grab a big water from the Exxon next door before you go
I feel so out of touch I’ve never even heard of it but I’m not in the heights anymore so it’s easy to lose touch of that sort of thing.
It kept popping up on my Instagram for Houston eats so I looked it up online and it looked legit. Has great reviews. Probably favor it on Saturday.
Damn just found out Luckys in Eado is shutting down because the landlord is being a bitch about rent. Supposedly today is their last day
Confirmed. Never really liked the place but I don’t like large crowds. Sad to see it go. Luckys is going to be tough to replace. This is going to happen to a lot of bars if landlords are assholes.
Bumped into someone this previous Saturday that tested positive for Covid. I got my testing done yesterday. I am negative luckily. It was a good wake up call as I feel I had gotten a bit complacent with everything. For those of you that may need it - 2500 Rice Blvd is a great testing location. Super friendly and more importantly, fast.
A good friend from HS owns the land (or his family does—the folks with the LAM Parking lots downtown), but don’t think they’re involved with the buildings or leasing outside of small percentage of involvement in the warehouse live operations. They actually sold a bunch of the land nearby for the Dynamo stadium, did ok on that deal, ha ;)
I wonder if all those people will be compensated when they reroute I45 on top of where their buildings are in the next few years.
I feel the opposite. It’s in a perfect location and setup. I always thought it was kind of shitty inside and the food is subpar. Fine place to get beer before the game but Little Woodrow’s right across the street is far superior
Sorry for the late response. A buddy was up there last night and found out from one of the workers. It's on their social media now. They're keeping the location in Katy open but apparently they owe $150k in rent on the Eado location.
yeah, thanks, I found it starting to make the rounds on Twitter like 30 minutes after your post, but I appreciate your response regardless. That past due rent is insane
Yeah that seems outrageous and maybe it got exaggerated in the game of telephone. But they do have a huge lot right across the street from downtown.
No idea. I gave them my insurance info and did not have to pay anything there. I heard from someone else it was $500 without insurance.
You can Favor Mico’s so you don’t have to wait in line and have it delivered. It’s en route. Also, there’s a chicken food truck on Westheimer by Cutloose that had a crazy long line yesterday. I’ve seen it pop up on my Instagram but can’t remember the name.
Lakeside country club. Aren’t we supposed to shut down for two weeks if employees get it? Because two more people just tested positive. One in the same building I’m in.
