What strike you looking at? I’ve got a limit order in at $105. It’s cheap, and I don’t expect this market (or country) to behave rationally, so don’t want to bet too much
has anyone sold old like stock stock before. wife was given disney stock as a kid and have been too lazy to get rid of it. looked up how to get rid of it and it seems convoluted. mostly just wanted to complain.
Yeah, it's just a completely different scenario. I definitely think it's a ridiculous bubble, just didn't think Enron was the comparable
I assume by your post you meant she just has a paper stock certificate. She needs to register the certificate with a transfer agent. I bet Vanguard would help her.
Stagger Lee take a look at TBT and let me know if you see some divergence on the longer time frames. Seems like if the shorter ranges shift it could be a good scalp today
Anyone ever transferred open positions on stonks across brokers before? Completed the move last week and it seems the new broker registered my positions as the current price, rather than what my actual buy average was on the old broker. (This worked in my favor on more of my positions than not but I stand to make a fair number of #gainz off of this fact - wanted to make sure it's not something I need to manually adjust somewhere)
TSLA 2500 calls (the furthest OTM available) that expire Friday are $1255 and the volume is 21,000. I’m infatuated with everything around this stock.
They do. The issue is that requires you knowing your exact position at the time of transfer. Looks like I should be able to use my account summary for July, once it's available. The only problem would be trading the stock before then. Hm...
Cost basis doesn't change when you transfer accounts. You should be able to pull your old basis information from the delivering brokerage and update your new account accordingly so you're all square from a tax standpoint. I may be misunderstanding your question.
no idea why my images do this, but this is the 2nd or 3rd time in the last 3 trading days that Tesla has briefly done this. Technical guys, can that signal anything?
See edit. In theory, cost basis shouldn't change, I know. But I'm 110% certain that I held an average cost of higher than the position transferred in at, on my old broker. But now I'm looking at my account summary on the old broker for June, and it shows the cost basis as way lower than what my average cost displayed as on a day-to-day basis. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that RH has this fucked up.
Seems like a glitch considering that chart bottom is about 100 points below the daily low listed directly below it. Not seeing it on more detailed charts either.
I have had some stocks change symbols and halt for awhile on Td ameritrade and it seems like they just alter your trade price to $0 when this happens.
So I bought two 07/17 900 puts and made $24. SUCK ON THAT ELON I’m now retired from trading TSLA, no questions please.
