Hey guys, I hadn't seen anything on here about this guy so figured I would start a thread. He is an asian guy from Harvard that is tearing shit up for the Knicks. Just wanna go on the record and state that I discovered him. Spoiler
I'm so glad you started the Official Jeremy Lin Thread! If not for you I never would have known about Jeremy Lin because no one else started a TMB Jeremy Lin thread!
That is a great compliment coming from the man who fails on a daily basis. I will wear this as a badge of honor.
Melo should stick to just international basketball at this point. That's the only place he makes the teams better.
Prediction: Jeremy Lin will start every All-Star game for the rest of his career, regardless of his performance.
Eric Stangel@EricStangel Follow If Jeremy Lin got on his knee and Tebowed the world would implode... #Knicks
Can't believe nobody else had heard of him before now, this guy is an international sensation. I just heard he was a top 10 internet search in China today.
about time someone started this. can't believe i haven't seen this on TMB yet. i'll always remember you as the guy who brought him to my attention.
Hey, I'm just a humble poster trying to spread some knowledge. Knowledge is power, that is what all my doctor friends tell me. Spoiler They aren't really doctors, they just play them on the internet.
Lin's 15 minutes will run out in the NBA, but he will use it to propel himself into a starring role opposite Chris Tucker in Rush Hour 5.
He will cool off and end up being a decent NBA PG. The league will get his film, break it down, and find his tendencies. No one has a beat on him cause he is new. This kinda stuff happens lots of times. Granted a player doesn't break out for as many points as Lin has, but the Knicks are also without their top two players, so there is plenty of opportunity for points.
I am not saying that he wont statistically come down to earth once melo and Amare are back, but have you watched the games? He plays defense and runs the offense. It is not just about him scoring. Yes, this is ridiculously improbable, but it is not unprecedented. As far as knicks go, Starks came out of nowhere. So did Mason. Lin is going to be a very good starting PG for the Knicks. He is athletic enough and obviously has it between the ears. He is also playing in the perfect offense for him.
Any Tebow talk at all pisses me off. ESPN can ruin just about anything by having Skip Bayless talk about it every day.
Yeah I have watched him two or three times over the past week. I agree with you that he can be a good PG, just that he will end up being a 14 point, 5 assist type guy eventually. I don't see him as a star, but I think he could be just what the Knicks need as far as PG goes (like you said, he has it between the ears, and will be happy to be a facilitater when Melo and Amare get back). It also allows for Shumpert to play and develop at SG. So yeah, I think he will be a good PG, but I don't think he will live up to the hype as it is "hyped" now (a 30 point a night "star"). But I think he can be the guy who can do what the Knicks need at PG (play D, spread the ball around, and be a third option when need be).
