Just watched S6:E5 "Lighthouse" First 20 minutes is just a goddamn Hurley highlight reel of one-liners.
Dammit can't find my post in this thread (THANKS FOR NOTHING SEARCH FUNCTION) but a while back I posted that if I ever bought a boat I would definitely name it NOT PENNYS BOAT
Absolutely. Hurley was in an episode of how I met your mother and at one point someone asks for lotto numbers and Hurley busts in and says "4 8 15 16 23 42" and they also made a few other lost references. I enjoyed it thoroughly
was watching Once Upon a Time last night (go ahead and judge me, I don't care) and both Hurley and Claire were in it. someone even gave Claire a book at one point and it was "A Mysterious Island" by Jules Verne.
I started re-watching the show with my gf, she had never seen it before. This is the first time I've tried to go through it since it aired live. I'm so damn jelly of the people who are watching it for the first time and get to blow through this show on Netflix. I know part of the fun was all of the speculation in between episodes, but got damn that was a frustrating process at times. On the premier night of the second season there was huge storm and all of the power went out in my city... 5 minutes before the show was about to start. I went from to , in the span of about a minute. I just wanted to see what was in that FUCKING HATCH! Anyways, this show is still pretty amazing especially for being on network TV. Screw the haters.
I just feel bad for the people that don't like it or never gave it a chance. This, breaking bad, and the office have all made my life much more enjoyable.
When I'm watching it with someone who hasn't seen it, I make them wait a couple weeks between seasons so they can kind of experience what we went through. They usually hate me for it.
I would not want to watch the show quickly. The discussion in between episodes and seasons made the experience for me.
I know but I wish it would have existed then. I didn't start LOST until the fall before Season Six started and I watched the first five seasons in like 2 months, the first 2 in like a week.
I had to seriously restrain myself from getting on that site and looking at the spoilers. Especially for the finale. I was so ready to just know what was happening.
its apparently still going. http://darkufo.blogspot.com/ anything related to LOST is published on the site. crazy but yeah, i spent so much time on that site, it was awesome
yeah, we used to have a weekly LOST thread on the rivals board. it didn't get to the level of this thread obvioulsy, but there was pretty constant discussion.
Used to enjoy that. Also, I like Once upon a Time and was excited to see Hurley again last night. My wife even called him Hurley while we watched the show. LOL
The general outrage over the finale on the Rivals board was why I decided I had to watch the show. Hadn't watched more than about half of the pilot up until then and the finale happened and so many people were pissed off because they simply didn't like it or, unfortunately, they didn't understand it at all. Watched the whole series in about 2 1/2 weeks. Have re-watched twice since then.
I'm so glad I didn't know about that in advance. Wouldn't have minded him busting out his Jesus stick.
Also, I know LOST lost it's top spot for me personally when bb came around, but I will never enjoy the experience of watching a show more than I enjoyed the LOST experience. I loved watching an episode with this board (and the rivals board before it) and then spending the next 6 days dissecting the show, reading about the mythology and reliving the episode the rest of the week. People complained about how the show ended, and say it ruined the show, and I jus don't get it (I don't get the whole idea of a finale changing how you view a show , but that's another rant for another time) but for me, lost was always about the journey shared with friends and strangers alike and it's the reason it'll always be a special show for me.
This is exactly my opinion as well. Breaking Bad's final season put it over the top for me but I didn't begin watching that show live until season 4. Nothing will ever be as great as the post-episode discussion of LOST and all the different theories and thoughts. I will never forget the night the first episode aired....I was hooked from the first minute.
I was a little letdown by the reveal that the whole of S6, or at least the limbo half, wasn't real or didn't really 'matter', but the last episode itself was amazing. I'm comfortable enough in my manhood to admit I cried at the end when Jack saw the others were flying to safety and he then closed his eyes (in a nod to episode 1). Fantastic writing.
I liked the ending of LOST edit: to me most of the people that didn't like it expected to leave with no questions. Shit man, this is LOST...questions is the name of the game.
Weird. Netflix has cut out 18 minutes of the LOST finale. Lindelof is not happy, obviously. http://mashable.com/2016/01/07/netf...e/?utm_cid=mash-com-Tw-main-link#Umntyg3n2aqM
Tonight's episode of game of Thrones was directed by Jack Bender. Sepinwal had this clip linked in his recap
Shit. I was looking for this thread. Found this show on Netflix and tore through season 1. A couple episodes into season 2 right now. Confused as hell? You betcha.
rewatching again faraday is the man just finished the episode where faraday and charlotte rendered the gas inert
were there ever answers to how they were still getting the food pallets dropped? Cant remember if we solved that one
