As prolific as he as been this season I think Ibra being out may be a blessing in disguise for you. Martial needs to be playing more and your best performance of the season vs. Chelsea didn't feature Ibra until you were already 2 goals up.
Martial will certainly be the biggest beneficiary of Zlatan's injury. He will need to step up his play though because he has been pretty meh the last few months, which is why he hasn't been playing much.
Ajax would've been a great draw. Celta have underperformed a bit domestically, but are still very dangerous. OL obviously was the team to avoid.
For 10x what we sold him for. He would still be here if LvG had just given him a shot instead of insisting on turning Blind into a makeshift CB.
well... rojo out is bigger than ibra being out imo. him and bailly together were so solid. we aren't very confident and become dysfunctional without them
Uninspiring xi IMO. Blind in the back again is frightening. Rooney cannot keep up with Martial. Fellaini over Carrick is just :jagsfangif: But what do I know?
That Martial goal cost us £8.5m. Was his 25th goal and one of the performance bonuses from his transfer deal with Monaco.
Hope we don't sit back in the 2nd half. Good opportunity to make up some of the goal differential with Liverpool.
Bailly has been immense today. Would be nice to get him off the field for the last 10 minutes though. He deserves some rest.
Always felt like Pogba at times this season has played too deep in the midfield for us. He's best going forward IMO
That was largely due to the 4-2-3-1. He's playing his preferred position on the left of a midfield 3 in a 4-3-3 today and it's showing.
Jose finally admitted that he is prioritizing Europa. Wouldn't be surprised to see a weaker lineup on Thursday.
At least United was smart to not pay the full fee right up front and made sure he was going to actually pan out. But, still a big fee for me to be fully comfortable with unless he starts scoring more next season.
Wonder if his tune just changed now that pool dropped 3 pts against Crystal Palace. Top 4 path looks open now
Based on this (even though it's a few years old), I would imagine that if we got to 75 points that would ensure a top 4 finish. This year may be weird though since there is a big drop off from 5 to 6.
Beat City and I think that means a lot. Expect wins against Swansea, Southhampton and Crystal Palace to get to 75 points. Win 2/3 from City, Arsenal and Tottenham, likely secure in the Top 4.
Jose says we are concerned about the fitness of Ander Herrera (ankle) and Paul Pogba (hamstring/fatigue)... Fuck we aint gonna have anybody for City.
