Re: ***Manchester United 09/10 Season Thread (W @Wolfsburg 3-1 | Sat v Villa) ** he just doesn't have a very high soccer iq. he's very skilled, but he tries to hard to be a player that he's not. i thought after ronaldo left, nani would embrace his role as a starter and take his game to the next level. with no ronaldo, i thought he wouldn't feel the pressure to be flashy all the time in order to see the field. but none of that happened. he still loses possession way too much, cuts inside to take poor shots from 30 yards out, and plays with no purpose. no doubt he's a player, but i don't see him fitting in with utd. in the future.

Re: ***Manchester United 09/10 Season Thread (@ Fulham on now) *** saf mad i could give a "the state of united" address but it would be way too long. cliffs of would be disertation: woefully thin back line (back ups of the back ups are not even available) has meant we are pulling great play makers (Fletcher and to a lesser extent Carrick out of the Midfield) draining the entire rest of the team. we aren't going to win big games, sure we can trounce little shit, bottom-of-the-barrel-teams like wolves, city, liverpool, west ham, & portsmouth, but dont expect us to get out of this rediculous funk against anything better than mediocre competition until our 'holy defensive trinity' of vidic ferdinand and VDS are back. (rememeber the record from last season) edit: we dont even need all 3 of them, just give us brown oshea and either ferdinand or vidic. IMO, our best defenders are Evra Vidic Oshea Brown Ferdinand Evans Neville Rafael Fabio De Laet when you have to take out basically our starting/alternating with starts CM (fletcher), and shift him to RB, and throw in scholes 3x a week, then we will have problems, (we have all seen them)
