David Luis against Germany disagrees but still your point remains Have to feel for him because you could see the pain on his face. Knew he got it all wrong after that Kante goal
Seriously, none of Carra, Schweinsteiger, Blind, Rooney, or Schneiderlin are better options than Fellaini? There's not one player in THAT group that Mou likes better?
if we had sold Rooney and didn't get ibra we might be better off. Think we are better with movement than static elderly ibra
Never understood any of the early season infatuation with Fellani, he's still been shitty to me and does not deserve any sort of starting role.
it's like there's some belief he's invaluable for set pieces on both ends. Isn't that what your center backs are for? He's a super sub at best when you're desperate for a goal and just need a big body to send long balls to. He's a traffic cone defensively and gives no creative impetus going forward.
I look back at what he did so well at Everton and see nothing close to the player he is now. Where is that towering presence on set pieces and corner kick's to blast a header in?
I think mourinho's strategy was to play for 0-0 and bring fellaini into the attack with zlatan and attack the height of azpilicueta. He is much smaller than a normal centerback and you saw it with zlatan's chance. right or wrong I think that is why he did it. I still don't understand both LVG and now mourinho failing to really use schneiderlin. He was really good at Southampton. If he plays in a holding role with Herrera and pogba in front of him in a 4-3-3 I think you get the best united midfield but I thought Chelsea should have gone 4-3-3 last year and mourinho seems fixated that the 4-2-3-1 is the superior formation.
I'm take any and all wins at this point, especially derby wins. Performance still could have been better considering the lineup that Pep threw out there. Zlatan was awful in the first half but pretty good in the second. Mata should be one of the first names on the team sheet, the team looks so much better when he starts. Carrick deserves more playing time too imo. The midfield should be some combination on Pogba, Mata, Herrera, and Carrick at pretty much all times. Really wish Mou would give Schneiderlin more opportunities tho.
this, all this and for the love of God, get the Bundesliga's best player in 2015-2016 on the damn pitch.
Heard that he's pretty head strong and has a strong personality but still, he'd no doubt make you guys better.
Before the Fenerbahce match last week, Jose said that Micky was fit and not injured but that he still wasn't match fit. The injury must have lingered quite a bit because it happened almost two months ago.
I don't see how Rooney gets anything more than late sub minutes once/if Micky starts getting back into the team.
37 fucking shots and 0 goals. Ridiculous goalkeeping from Heaton but we still should have had 4-6 goals. Probably should have had a penalty. Herrera's red was soft as fuck too, he clearly slipped and wasn't trying to make a tackle. This team better figure it the fuck out soon or they will have to put all their eggs into the Europa basket to make the CL next season.
feel the same way. Just feel like we're pretty unlucky right now. People are criticizing Zlatan's finishing? Lol that overhead kick is a "finish." The save on Lingard was insane. There's nothing you can do about a keeper like Heaton today. That was a legendary performance and you just have to tip your cap. Sucks it came at this time for us. Clattenburg was off his rocker on the Darmian trip and sending off Herrera, as well. If you're a manager of United today, what could you possibly tell them to do differently? There's nothing to say. That's exactly what you want from your team. The Rooney of old would've finished that sitter on the excellent free kick routine. Should've been designed for someone else.
Heaton and Keane are superhumans. It'll be a shame to lose them both (as is likely) but a massive cash injection from selling one or both would be amazing for Burnley.
At some point unlucky days (even if that is what happened) won't be acceptable with the amount of money put into this roster. To be at a worse point total than LVG and Moyes is inexcusable no matter how well the competition is playing against us.
I still think we will be alright, we've still got 28 games left. Hate dropping points vs teams like Burnley though.
Our finishing has been pretty awful to start this season and it was a huge issue during LvG's entire tenure. I agree it's probably too early to panic but something needs to change quickly. The fact that Zlatan is the one missing most of these chances is troubling.
Mkhitaryan was back training with the first-team today, but more interestingly Schweinsteiger was too. I think this is the first time that he's trained with the first-team since Mourinho took over.
Barcelona are reportedly hot for our best academy player, Angel Gomes (who is 16 and captains the England U-17 side) Hoping that lessons were learned after the very expensive Pogba debacle. Problem is that as long as Mourinho is around, breaking into his first teams or reserves from the academy is nigh-impossible and he expects them to schlepp around Europe on loans for five years.
There's also talk that Schweinsteiger training might mean that Carrick picked up an injury. Carrick didn't travel to Turkey with the team and Mou talked about Schweini playing if their were injuries in the midfield in his press conference.
