Champagne football from Martial and Micki there. solid win. Fellaini earned his start and he made the difference when it was looking ugly
- Comfortable win - Fellaini justifies his start - Smalling gets a confidence boosting goal - Fosu-Mensah earns himself more playing time - Mkhi breaks a run of poor finishing - Martial looks great after moving out wide - Schweini gets a start and goal - Tuanzebe gets his debut - Kept key players rested on the bench - Even got Pereira some time in goal Can't really ask for much more out of a 4th round cup match. Only criticism I can think of is I wish Shaw would have looked better.
Of course Bailly picks up a knock playing for the U23 team today. Initial reports are that it isn't serious tho.
Kind of disappointed that Fosu-Mensah isn't at least on the bench. Thought he played pretty well against Wigan.
And looks like Phil Jones just blew a hamstring. Not feeling good about how this game will end with Smalling coming on.
This team continues to not take advantage of dropped points by the top 4. Mourinho has failed so many times in these positions lately.
United has such an easy schedule for the next two months until Chelsea in mid-April, but if they can't outright beat Leicester tomorrow I just can't see them getting into the top four.
Thought he should have started. Mkhi and Mata justified their selections tho. Both were outstanding today.
quick glance at the fixtures list. not sure when the city game gets rescheduled, but I think we have 2 games vs top 7 opponents before may. Time for a run.
