Parker may be my leader for biggest bust for the Dolphins relative to my expectations. Dion Jordan was obviously a higher pick but that was confusing from the start.
Apparently all former dolphins are bitches http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...e-ndamukong-suh-finds-their-run-defense-funny Ndamukong Suh mocks Dolphins' run defense in Instagram comment Now that Ndamukong Suh is with another team, he apparently finds the Dolphins' soft run defense funny. The five-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle posted a comment on an Instagram post from the NFL which showed a video of a 71-yard touchdown run by Carolina's Christian McCaffrey against Miami in an exhibition game Friday. "Right up the Gut lol," wrote Suh, who is now with the Los Angeles Rams. The comment may reflect lingering hard feelings by Suh, who was cut by the Dolphins in March when they decided they could no longer afford his huge contract. He ended up signing with the Rams on a one-year, $14 million contract. Suh never hit the heightened expectations that came with the six-year, $114.4 million contract he signed with the Dolphins in 2015. He has made just one Pro Bowl over the past three seasons and has not totaled more than six sacks in a season. He has never won a playoff game, and last season in Miami the Dolphins finished 29th in run defense and 26th in sacks and finished 6-10. Suh had 4.5 sacks and 48 tackles in 2017.
Keeping 3 QBs when the third guy isn't someone with long term potential is pretty stupid and it looks like that's what they are gonna do.
Broncos have been horrendous but I would still take their drafting over us in the last decade tbh Demaryius Thomas, Von Miller (although pretty obvious pick), Malik Jackson in the 5th, Julius Thomas in the 4th, Eric Decker in the 3rd, Robert Ayers, Eddie Royal, Peyton Hillis in the 7th I don't even want to go back over the last 10 years of Miami draft picks and be depressed for an hour
Miami Dolphins 2018 predictions: Post staff expects struggles Palm Beach Post Staff 2 hours ago JASON LIESER Eight months of listening to the Dolphins’ persistent optimism put a dent in my initial thought that this season would be a total wreck. That said, it’s hard to believe that every question mark will turn Miami’s way. It might take more than one season for Adam Gase’s vision to materialize. Ryan Tannehill was at his best in 2016, but he needs to return even better than that for the Dolphins to have a chance. They could be afloat midway through the year, but they close with five straight games against 2017 playoff teams. A 5-11 season sounds about right, and that’s going to leave the organization facing tough decisions in January. Bottom line: 5-11 JOE SCHAD The return of Ryan Tannehill is inspiring. As in, Tannehill is far more inspiring than Jay Cutler. But the Dolphins are tasked to find a way to be better without Pro Bowlers Ndamukong Suh, Mike Pouncey and Jarvis Landry. Not easy. Miami has a chance to win eight or nine games, if - Kenyan Drake emerges as a star - DeVante Parker discovers health and breaks out amid lowered expectations - penalty woes are cured, more turnovers are created and a heavy dose of good luck follows a 2017 that contained nothing but bad. Gase feels he has more of the the kind of players he wants: professional, emotionally mature and committed. But is there enough talent? Bottom line: 6-10 HAL HABIB The Dolphins’ hopes are built around the notion that this team is better than its individual parts. I traditionally don’t read much into the preseason, but so many red flags are flying that I’m now questioning that approach. Offensively, I wonder about the line, penalties and whether drives can be sustained. Defensively, you have to feel good about their ends and talent in the secondary, although the recent shuffling to cover inefficiencies at corner give me pause. Do they have enough at tackle and linebacker? What? More pesky questions? Here’s one other: Whether Adam Gase calling plays is the best way to go. He gets a pass last year, but he’s no longer handcuffed at QB. So it’s time to get off the steady diet of 5-yard passes and put it on playmakers to make plays. Bottom line: 5-11 TOM D’ANGELO The Dolphins did not give us much to be excited about through the first three preseason games. The first-team offense scored one touchdown and the defense could not stop the run. Other than that ... This offseason, Miami suffered key losses on both sides of the ball, and while these may have been necessary for the future, a step back is inevitable. To exceed the lowly expectation — ESPN has the Dolphins last in the NFL in its power rankings — Miami needs to take advantage of playing four games against the Jets and Bills. Still, the last two months is daunting with out-of-division games against Houston, Green Bay, Indianapolis, Minneapolis and Jacksonville, all on the road except the Jags. It all adds up to... Bottom line: 5-11
We have no shot until we get a front office that can draft. IMO we have the worst combo in the league in Grier and Tannenbaum (who tf actually has final say?), but I have no confidence Ross will get rid of either of them. I don't know that those two would be hired anywhere in the league, but are running the show in Miami...
