What are you talking about? Id have been cool with a top pick but I'm not going to complain because we exceeded any reasonable expectations during a rebuild year while still stockpiling enough picks to get anyone we want other than Burrow or Young. I mean would you feel better if we went 1-15 and the coaching was a dumpster fire?
Another thing is I think people want to have their cake and eat it too when it comes to players improving under this staff. On the one hand everyone is glad DVP and Gesicki and some other guys have shown a lot of improvement. But then in the same breath they want the coaching staff to not give a fuck. It just doesn't really work that way.
I just don’t want Parker to revert back now he has his contract. He was awesome this year and I loved him when he was picked but he was hot garbage until this year with some exceptions

Still a shame, he was a workhorse for Arizona Wonder if David Johnson will take the lead back role next year
I'd rather feel good about the coaching hire than have the top pick. Even with a QB with great potential, a bad coach can ruin his development. A top QB can be found outside the top 3, just look at the playoff QBs: Brady - 199th Allen - 7th Jackson - 32nd Tannehill - 8th Watson - 12th Mahomes - 10th Wentz - 2nd Rodgers - 24th Cousins - 102nd Brees - 32nd Garopollo - 62nd Wilson - 75th Wentz was the only one selected in the top 5, and the Eagles won the Super Bowl without him playing. What's really depressing is thinking about how many of those guys we had a chance to pick up and went another direction. Give me competent leadership over draft stock every time.
I don’t think it’s an Eric Mangini-level burned bridge, but I’d be surprised if Flores and Belichick are on great terms.
Dumbest shit ever. How dare you get a promotion and then promote other guys you worked with and have good relationships with. Taking guys with you when you leave a workplace happens every day in the real world. Why should it not happen in the NFL?
I don’t necessarily disagree. But the fact remains Flores took three coaches with him. And now he’s fired one of them. Were the expectations so high that getting the performance O’Shea did out of that roster is a fireable offense? I’m truly not trying to troll; I just find the move very peculiar.
O’Shea was very well thought of in New England. Was responsible for their red-zone offense for a number of years before leaving.
the guy wasn't even the QB coach to begin the year. That was Caldwell. Surprised that he's getting the OC job that fast.
Sounds like O’shea banged the table for Rosen when others on the offensive staff weren’t sold. Didn’t want divided staff going into picking a qb. Gailey definitely not a long term solution though
Also, despite refusing to believe it, I think Tua may really stay now... If we end up with Herbert, or any other QB from this class, that's a disaster. Roll with Fitz another year if Tua stays. I think this QB class is ass outside of Tua and Burrow. Rosen sucks but still probably would rather see what we have in him than waste a top 5 pick on these bums.
Definitely don't want Fromm or Herbert in round 1. I haven't really seen Love play at all so I don't know about him. I assume he's a later 1st round option. Anyone watched some games of his?
I watched him against LSU and he was not particularly impressive. I'd rather just wait...though probably 10+ teams have the same strategy going into next year and there will be a lot more competition for that pick. Plus we will have a lot less assets next year. It may all work out but this was the year we needed a QB.
God knows we have needs all over, so if we don’t go QB we can still address multiple needs in the first round and I would be okay with continuing to improve the roster and wait for Tua or some other QB we feel is worth a high draft pick
If Tua goes back to college, trade down, acquire more capital for next season's draft and derp your way to 5-11 once again.
My hope is: Thomas at 5 if he’s there, trade down if he’s not. Go OL or DEnd with the second pick and the other of the two choices with the third pick. Grab a running back in the second Start Rosen all next year QB the 21 draft
