Biggest shock to me is we were 2nd to LAST in cap room this offseason and no where near an upper echelon team. Wasteful spending on average to below average players. How the fuck does that happen unless the front office is completely inept?? I'm not sticking up for Gase, but its easier to scape goat him when he says those dumb comments because the front office never speaks to the media. Is Gase a great coach? its hard to say at this point, but he is easily on the hot seat from here on
This all screams of guys trying way too hard to look like they are smarter than everyone rather than just building a damn sports ball team designed to hit people and move a ball down a field.
This is us suffering the mistakes of countless people trying to do that by making bad signings and worse drafts
if we really want to overhaul the roster and start new, then getting rid of tannehill and getting a new QB should be the first priority
he's basically on renewing 1 year deals. im fine drafting a QB this year and hoping he regains some value this year and trading him next year. if he doesn't, cut him and move on. There is no real rush for a decision on Tanny.
I see what you're saying. Alex Smith and Andy Dalton and Tyrod are below him by 2, 3, and 4 million. Everyone with more than Tanne should make more than him anyways
is it just me, or are all the beat writers for the dolphins sunshine pumpers who love to carry water for the organization
That’s not uncommon for beat writers who want to maintain relationships with sources within the organization
6 mil per for a starting TE is a fair deal imo...that would put him in the bottom half of the league for TE1. Very fair deal imo. I still don't like the A. Wilson deal but damn seeing some of these numbers roll in today and what the market is paying.... wow. It's an overpay but it seems many teams are willing to pay far more than us. After seeing what Cousins got do people still want to dump the "grossly overpaid" Tanny?
im not sure Burton is a legit #1 TE. however, I'd much rather have burton for 6M than Wilson for pretty much anything over 5 mill per, so...
I'm tired of the hurt/old tight ends (Cameron, Thomas) trying to find lightning in a bottle or someone else's scraps We haven't had a good tight end in 4 damn years. Tanne needs a good one more than most qbs
Clay got 7.6 per year a few years back...I guess adjusting for time that would be about 9 now? I get questioning if Burton is a legit TE1, that is a reasonable question. But it's a damn good price. One note though, it says it's 8 per year not 6 in the story I'm reading (4/32). Little less appetizing at that price.
I've said it before but I hate we lost Cody Parkey. K is very underrated especially with an offense that may be shitty yet again
