You aren’t even trying at this point. Don’t bother responding. I’m done dealing with you
that time of the month?
Can’t wait until he moves to Canada and hopefully starts following the Toronto based teams.
Way ahead of you
If we really do end up with Herbert, we have the leakiest front office in the nfl. And it’s been that way every year. Seems it always gets out who we like. Really needs to stop if these rumors are indeed true
He was disappointing the last two seasons relative to very high expectations. He had a very good sophomore season and huge things were expected. Overshadowed by Quentin his Jr season out of nowhere, while he was pretty meh. “Rededicated himself” for his season season but still pretty meh.
Seems to have hit his ceiling, which is a solid run stuffer but not much beyond that. Has incredible size, he just never took the next step that everyone thought he’d easily take the last two years. Maybe a solid rotational guy in the third to fourth round but he’s not a dude I’d be like really pumped about tbqh.
looks like Tarzan plays like Jane?
I don't think so he just isn't much of a pass rusher he anchors very well against the run and is a stone wall against a double team but he has not shown much ability to rush
He has the skill set of a starter he's just not dynamic at all really
Nah he plays ok, he just never took the next step from good to great. Other guys we’ve had like Allen, Robinson, Quentin Williams, Dareus... they all had flashes as an underclassman and looked like breakout candidates as Jr and Sr. And they did indeed breakout and make that jump their Jr and Sr year. Raekwon is the only one I can really think of that showed flashes but just never made that jump. He was pretty good but never dominant like the others. Barmore is that guy for us now that hopefully makes the jump next season.
Yeah I think he is more of maybe a rotational guy with a ceiling of average to slightly above average starter. He will go higher than that prob in the draft Bc he played at Bama but he wouldn’t really excite me. Unless he’s got something in the tank he didn’t show in about 3 years as a starter
I like him as an NFL starter but you just need rushers around him really
Like he's a very good player and he's an asset on first and 2nd down and I think he's good enough for 3rd down some if your other linemen are good but he's definitely coming off the field in most rush packages
Seems like we already have guys his size in Seiler
Lord i tried to listen to Armando/Beasley’s podcast
I know Armando is a flamer but my lord he is so over the top loud it’s hard to listen it
picked him up from the Ravens, played him a ton vs Cincinnati and he was really impressive
You’d look impressive against Cincy
With the draft a week away we have any preference with the first 5 picks?
39. RB or OL
56. S or OL
Idk why but I’m hoping Jeudy falls to us at 18
Tua and basically BPA after that. We have so many holes that there's really no position that couldn't use young talent. I'm against RB in the first but other than that have at it.
I do hope we come away with Jalen Raegor but as long as we land Tua I'm good.
Give me Tua and some OL help. I agree that BPA is the moves though
If tua isn’t there at 5 then BPA, trade down or bust
Tempted to want to trade up or down with 26 and see if we can jump up for an OT or trade back for more picks in 2 or 3
Probably going to have to trade that pick to get up to 3 imo
Curious to know how everyone ranks the tackles outside of the big 4? Have seen us linked to Austin Jackson in some mocks, sounds like he has big upside, didn’t realize he donated bone marrow to his sister before the ‘19 season started.
Also if anyone wants to take a stab on RB rankings, be my guest. I like Taylor but I worry about the wear and don’t know if Swift will be there when we are up in the 2nd.
I like the tackle from Houston. Not a star, but will be a solid starter imo
with the uncertainty about Tua’s medical I feel like there is a good chance he is there at 5
I really like Taylor too but the “experts” have said he likely won’t be the pick because we value a RB’s receiving ability and dobbins, Swift and Akers are superior in that aspect
He also has had the fumbling issues, which I think may really hurt his draft stock
The wear/tear issue idk if I care as much about depending on how the physical exams looked. Look at how well Connor did last year
No first round RBs please. Also, I think there’s a good chance we will trade out of either 18 or 26 for more pick next year, or to recoup picks we may have to trade to go to 3
If the Niners are open to moving picks I’d be ok with sending 18 and a 2nd for 13 if they’d take it. Get a better shot at a better player
Who are the Dolphins truly targeting at quarterback and left tackle?
A source close to Stephen Ross tells me that the Dolphins owner is talking as though quarterback Justin Herbert is not in the team’s plans with the fifth overall pick. The source tells me that he feels it’s either Tua Tagovailoa with pick number five or a position player at that spot with a later maneuver for Utah State’s Jordan Love, which I wrote about last Friday. PFN has also been reporting since March that it’s likely Love is the next quarterback on their board after Joe Burrow and Tagovailoa, not Herbert.
Who is the position player the Dolphins could take with the fifth pick? Sources tell me it’s Andrew Thomas of Georgia, who would fill a need at left tackle
Peter Kings mock has us trading up to 3 for Herbert, and New England moving up to 13 for Tua. Probably the worst possible outcome
Someone mentioned earlier this morning to me how this pretty well convinced them that most of the negative Tua stuff is coming from NE because they desperately want him to drop.
I can buy it.
Not to mention the Belichek/Saban connection and Brady's departure. This has probably been orchestrated for months.
Worst possible scenario is us ending up with Love. Holy fuck. I’d rather start Rosen
like him better than Herbert
ceiling is so much higher, especially after getting a RS season
I kinda like Love as a longer term project but I don't think he's right for us because we just aren't gonna be able to take him and sit him behind a guy for a few years like he needs. Its a gamble but for a team like, say, Tampa, Pitt or New Orleans it might be a good gamble if he falls a bit.
Have to wonder if we are trending towards OT at 5 and moving up for one of the QB’s
I think Love sucks ass
say what you want about Herbert, he didn’t do shit like this
I do think that Love has the higher upside than Herbert but his number in '19 were really pedestrian and I really don't buy the whole 'new coaching staff/new scheme' excuse.
Just based off his lowlights?
where are his highlights? He sucked ass this past season
I don’t understand the “he has a higher ceiling than Herbert” thing. What is that based on?
Love and Herbert both suck
If we’re talking Love, he has 20 tds to 17 ints....so there are a LOT of lowlights to choose from
He obviously has physical ability, but you’re talking a 2-3 yr project at best
Agree, I just think Herbert sucks less. I don’t understand how you can say Love has a higher ceiling either because Herbert has prototype size and is pretty dang athletic. Also that clip out Loves throws to the outside make me question his arm strength too...
Idk whether you are implying he has no highlights or pretending you don’t know how to find them
but 30 secs of his highlights are more impressive than 3 mins of Herbert highlights
yes last year
2018 season was masterful
