I think it's easy make a case for Chase being the #1 WR in a vacuum. He's ridiculous. But my line of thinking is that his skillset is a lot more redundant with Parker/Williams than Waddle or Smith would be and just for that reason I'd prefer one of those for Miami.
Curious to hear your (or any other Bama guys) thoughts on the gap between Waddle/Smith. To me the more I see Smith the more I'm absolutely in love with him as a prospect. He's a guy that just always gets open and always makes a play at a key moment. And his hands are so good. I'd be ecstatic to land either.
like you said I think they are both studs I would ecstatic with either. Smith is the ultimate team guy, really driven and somebody you want in your locker room. Maybe the best hands of anybody that has come through Bama which is saying a lot. The only negative is he is a bit wiry and not a huge guy, but probably still an outside WR. And while he is certainly fast, he is not on that game breaking level of a Waddle and Ruggs. Waddle I think is a better fit for what our current needs are. Game changing speed and also a weapon in the return game. Also great hands and good in traffic for a guy his size. He’s a guy that can murder teams in the slot all game long. That’s an element of the offense that we just don’t have right now and the best nfl seems seem to. I also think we just overall need more speed on offense. A better version of Landry than is more electric but is much better with the deep ball than Landry if needed. He just has that dynamic quality where he couod score with every touch also I am the biggest Tua stan in the world and think he can do it all, but if I had to choose I’d say he is best with his intermediate passing game. Waddle would be huge there. I would be super pumped about all 3 but he’s the guy I think meets one of our needs and fills a lot of holes in the o
The end zone fade is still a bullshit waste of a play that every team should burn from their playbook. But goddamn that was pretty.
That looked more like a sharp out than the touchy fade I hate so much. Just looks way sharper than what I'm used to seeing
I'm not at all worried about him getting rattled. It's been a rough first quarter for him but he'll figure it out.
It's our worst unit by far. Grant is a nice player to have but like you said he has no business being on the field every snap in normal circumstances.
I don't know if he'll develop or not but I remember it being said he was something of a project so at least it's not like we're seeing a definitely finished product.
For sure. Really exposed out lack of playmakers, Parker included. Not a diss on Parker because he's a solid WR on a team friendly deal. But if he's your best threat...that's not ideal at all.
