Why do OL like to throw their hands up and do the "I didn't hold" thing? It only draws attention. Flag wasn't even down before Jackson did that.
This is absolutely pathetic by the defense. Now they’re just faking the outside run every play and gaining 20 yards each time
Good news - the next two games are the Jets and Bengals without Burrow. Should be able to get some momentum back after a really bad week.
should have been running that type of offense with tua. Still doesn't help they can't block and receivers can't get open.
The Broncos aren’t much better. This should have been a pretty straight forward win. They started feeling themselves when they haven’t earned it
Jesus man calm the fuck down. Road loss to an average team, rookie QB, 2 rookie OL... Settle down. Nothing has changed
May be some of that but Denver has a solid defense and running game. We just got exposed on our lack of weapons and iffy OL on top of the natural complacency in a 5 game win streak. I think it's important to remember that this is the same team they've always been this year. A much improved, solid football team with fatal flaws. They weren't ever making a deep playoff run. But the "sky is falling" takes you're gonna see this week are overreactions. They'll be better next week and get better in the off-season.
If at this point you haven’t learned that by getting excited the only result is a letdown then what are you even doing in here. It’s never as good or as bad as it appears with the Dolphins
Flores says tua wasn't injured. Just tried to change things up. I honestly don't mind stuff like that like literally any other position on the field if you have to adjust. Doubt tua really even disagreed
You aren’t wrong there. Nothing has changed yet. This team still has glaring weaknesses, especially on defense when they aren’t out scheming opponents. Broncos offense was one play most of the game and they couldn’t stop it.
Back down to earth obviously still a number of holes that need to be addressed but future is still bright
Really? We're going to question dolphins schemes on defense of all things? Sometimes if a run attack is consistently working it's a physical thing not a scheme thing. They just got out pushed today up front. Ok? It happens.
That’s exactly what I said. If the scheme doesn’t get the job done, those glaring weaknesses show up. They got bullied by the exact same play and the players on the field made a different mistake every time.
I know the LB position is disappearing, but you still need at least one guy who always knows what he’s doing in run support/pass coverage
Pass coverage being key. Thumpers are dime a dozen relatively speaking. You can get those later in the draft. The early picks are guys that can cover.
We always knew it would take a bit of time with him, but I didn't expect him or Iggy to be this bad year 1. Wirfs, who we declined to move up 5 picks for, is 22nd out of 78.
I don't know how you can watch Tua play and be worried at all at this point. He just looks good. Footwork, throwing ability, decision making. He held the ball a bit long yesterday but overall it's a different game out there with him in. He wasn't accurate yesterday either but we pretty much know that's not normally an issue.
He had no time yesterday and wasn’t really seeing the field bc of it. I think he understood getting yanked and was probably okay with not getting hit for the last two drives when the offense was absolutely anemic the entire day. He seems mature enough to understand the situation and not take it personally, you could see it in between drives when talking with fitz. Things are okay
