Explains what’s been going on with him
Hasn’t Baker kinda sucked since his rookie year?
And Raekwon seemed to be getting better. Idk... we have the guy away for nothing. If he’s not a fit he’s not a fit but I’d figure you could get more than that? Maybe there is just zero value for run stuffing LB anymore
think you may be confusing the 2
baker had 126 tackles last year
This is only year 3 for him and last year was a brand new, vastly different scheme from year 1. Kid is a good athlete and a good football player. I'd expect him to do well over the next couple years with Flores
Raekwon was getting better and I think that was as much him regaining confidence coming back from the ACL as much as anything. People always think 8-12 months for that type of injury but it often takes longer from the neck up. Some guys just don't trust the knee after being cleared and it's usually subconscious thing that just takes time. You might get cleared physically after 1 year but, in my experience, a lot of guys (certainly not all) aren't "back" until well after that
I wouldn't say zero value but it's definitely a skill that's easier to find for cheap.
Nowadays every team is basically in Nickel or Dime most of the game between the 3+ WR sets and athletic TEs. You're only gonna have one or two true LBs on the field most of the time and they need to be able to cover. Baker fits that better and we have other guys that can run stuff. He probably wasn't going to play a lot.
GoodForAnother what do I need to do to make this :fail: ?
Where are they practicing that this is an NFL locker room with folding chairs?!
if it’s like the rams set up in hard knocks they have to keep everyone’s lockers separated for social distancing so there a lot of makeshift lockers for rookies etc
Mando is a gigantic piece of shit and I have no idea how he's still employed at this point
Wait he thinks his comments (and their objections) were about defending the ideas of slavery on Earth?
Some interesting names here, brought in Coe again plus Callaway and Alex Collins amongst others
Callaway in Miami. That would go well.
Can anyone think of a worse trade we've made than the Rosen trade?
I think Rosen was worse than Culpepper. Feely.... yeah I think that may be the winner
By far the most bizarre trade. At least Aj Feely had a good run for those four games or whatever in Philly, and we were a real QB away from a Super Bowl winning team. This dude Rosen has to be the one and only QB to be drafted top ten to immediately be let go and replaced by two top five QBs. He’s that useless.
It’s embarrassing the front office thought going to the casino and dropping second round picks on this guy made any sense for a multitude of reasons. Only conspiracy theory I have is that Ross fell in love with Rosen for some reason (Sell hope for tickets?), and forced it on the team.
I don’t think it was crazy to spend a second and a 5th for a guy that was top 10 a year earlier, and by all accounts we liked then. You’re hoping that your coaches can get more out of him, and you have a need at the position. It didn’t pan out, but I’m glad we were taking chances instead of playing it safe
A second and 5th and for a guy who was drafted in the top 10 a year before isn't a bad trade, even if he doesn't pan out.
Idk how our front office looked at it but how I looked at it was that we gave him a shot, if he ends up being a star we gave up a 2nd and a 5 for him and got a steal
if he ended up a bust we would be in prime position for Tua
This. You spent a 2nd gambling that you could find your QB and in a position to use a top 5 pick on a game breaker at another position. If it worked, they draft Simmons at 5 and all of a sudden have a scary defense.
If it worked they aren’t picking 5
moving up to take Dion Jordan
Wanted them to take him in April
I wonder if he’s gonna have QB or WR eligibility Bankz
except that we already saw Rosen play for a year and knew or should have known he sucked
Kid is so talented
but so dumb
I’n assuming he had a really nice workout and was not really interviewed very much
Looked really dumb on hard knocks last year
Given he is a Miami kid and played at UF I’m going to take an educated guess that you are well aware of both his talents and his off the field issues
Though we are still a year away I am genuinely excited to watch our opener for the first time in a while. Really looking forward to seeing our revamped OL and DL and how they look today.
We have zero answers for this cam read option right now
This offense looks bad
How loud would the home boos be right now if this game was home with fans?
They have zero confidence in Cam
Tua! Tua! Tua! Tua! Tua!
