Which WR would you guys prefer for the Dolphins to take? Seems the latest mocks have Waddle for you all
Personally I prefer Chase or Smith just because of the fact that they've been more productive in college than Waddle. Waddle probably would have out up huge numbers this year but that's projection and I've seen Smith do it for 3 years and Chase so it as a 19 year old. The more I think about it the more I see Pitts as a WR and in play with the other top WRs though.
Sewell at 3 or trade out is the hill I’m ready to die on. I’m a little hesitant on Waddle. I think he will do his best work in the slot, and as an outside WR I don’t know if there’s a big enough gap between him and some of the other WRs to take him extremely high
Watching him the last 3 years, I think there's a strong case to be made that Waddle is the most talented of all the WRs to come out of Bama the last two years. It would not shock me whatsoever if he were the best WR to come out this year. Also, his skills as a returner are elite. That being said I would love any of the top 3 WR if we trade back. If we stay at 3 I'd take Sewell. Very happy with either option, we are in a good spot.
Ruggs having such a meh rookie year has me a little concerned with taking a shorter speed WR in the top 10 But I can be talked into it easily
I know it's an extremely unfair comparison, but this post gave me extreme Ted Ginn PTSD when you mentioned returning skills. If you had mentioned his family, I would have thrown my monitor.
Elite return skills mean next to nothing to me tbh, it’s almost completely phased out of the NFL at this point Not to mention as a #1 wideout, no team is risking his health for punt returns
Guys... return skills are just an added bonus. I think we were last in the NFL in that category, it might be a small added perk. Nobody is going to draft a WR in the top 10 for punt returns... Chill lol
That's a great trade even if it doesn't work out. 1st round talent for nothing, all you got to do is get his ass in line.
Adam Beasley saying he was told we are all in on getting Golladay and he was told it will come down to us and the giants
Golladay is very good but also pretty similar to Parker. Marvin Jones is a guy that has had a sneaky good career. His stats are a lot better than I thought before I looked. T.Y. is too old imo... if he didn't have SoFla connection I don't think we would have any interest. I really hope we avoid Juju
Golladay is a rich man's Parker. If we signed Golladay it might mean we're moving on from him. Its hard to imagine us coming out to pass with Golladay, Parker, Gesicki and Williams on the field. Just way too much of the same thing. Not saying signing him is bad. I'd be all for it. Just saying they'd still desperately need a guy who can separate.
I agree 100% here. Golladay is more of the exact same thing. Saw a stat yesterday that he averages 1.9 yards of separation per route, one of the lowest in the NFL. He just wins EVERY contested catch. He's better than every WR the fins already have. He's just the exact same thing.
I believe this is a fairly obvious telegraph that Pitts is in play with that top pick. Devonta and Chase are going to have great careers but Pitts is a generational playmaker that completely changes the dynamic of your offense. If Parker can fetch a mid-round pick, all the better. Can still grab a guy like Rondale Moore in the 2nd or 3rd round to play in the slot.
I really liked McKinney in the draft, he was great in college. We really need to upgrade at LB. Shaq was solid for us but I think this was a bigger need
The Players Tribune reports that the Cleveland Browns “are shopping” Kareem Hunt “to a handful of AFC East teams. Bills and Dolphins are the presumed suitors, with a relatively low price tag due to the current state of the RB market around the league.” Hunt ran 198 times for 841 times (a 4.2 average) and six touchdowns for the Browns last season. He also caught 38 passes for 304 yards (an 8.0 average) and five touchdowns.
