I mean at this point I just hope he's ok long term. Even if he is and can come back in a reasonable time, it's gotta be taking a toll. FUCK. Just feels so unfair for him.
I'm in a chat with a MD and he seems to think it's more likely a back/spine thing than a concussion. Idk if that makes it better or worse
Have a friend who's disdain for Tua rivals only bro texting in a group chat that Tua got hurt because he's too frail. Like JFC
I think that would make more sense given how his back got jacked up last game and then how it looked on that play. But everyone just assuming concussion last game.
That i It's not enough time to even analyze if an injury is serious or just soreness... TNF is terrible
Proud of bridgewater and the team to keep playing even though all us fans are completely out of it right now
This can change what we think of what head injuries look like too. In football we always look for head contact as the thing to get rid of but Was that whiplash? The way he was thrown backwards and whipped could have caused the damage more than actual impact to the head. I only could watch the first replay but everyone always just thinks of head impact as far as brain injuries go.
Agreed. I could be completely wrong, but aren't back-of-head impacts especially dangerous if you've had recent head trauma as well? QBs frequently go down that way, even on non-sacks. Could lead to changes
Even without your head actually making contact with anything - the jarring of the body causes your brain to shift around. If he was still concussed… not great
Not sure but I didn’t see his head really hit the field I guess. It could be more about how he was thrown than any impact. Anyway I hate diagnosing from home but that play didn’t “look like” what we think of a head injury. Just hope for the best but any hit can cause a brain injury.
I’ll wait for bong Shula to tell me what went wrong on that INT, but it looked like a missed throw by Teddy.
Here comes the internet to also now blame being released by a world class trauma center on the dolphins
The amount of injuries, the amount of padding needed, and the fact you really can only play 12-16 games a year and have to rest weeks to prepare for a 60 minute game. Makes me wonder if football in 100 years will be looked at as barbaric.
Give me the rage from all the internet and twitter warriors today Never seen so many geniuses smarter than independent medical professionals So crazy to me that a guy who apparently had scrambled eggs for a brain was able to lead a fourth quarter come back, have an immaculate post game interview, and then be released from the hospital after basically being brain dead last night?
Worst fucking safety call I have ever seen. Teddy was hit while he was throwing and Smythe was in the area.
