For sure. Dude needs a mirror. Drops and gave up on routes all season. He was making business decisions since week 3
Who remembers that TD drop in the Baltimore game that shifted the momentum fully in their direction… Pepperidge farm remembers
well I guess we can forget about the OL getting solved for about the 10th year in a row always defended ross but fuck that guy after this
I’m already anticipating that when thinks go sideways next year Ross is going to force us to trade for Harbaugh.
Yea. Don’t know how you mend that fence when you essentially quit on the field. Season was over, but you still finish it out or at least blame the wrist.
With Grier coming back next year it has me wondering if there's even been anything like this situation. First time GM getting 9 years and having zero playoff wins. It seems like something that has no historical precedent.
I’m fine with giving McDaniel one more shot… but the offense better not be spamming screen passes again (wtf was that all year??) or he can hit the road too
Think it was just another way to generate rush yards since standard running didn’t work because our oline sucks
Yeah, we know from past years that this isn't the way McDaniel wants to run an offense. But when you have no other options you just have to do what you have to do. Intermediate and deep passing game is just broken right now without a running game or OL that can hold up to developing plays.
This is from computercowboy on twitter who puts out some pretty great info, and is OL pass pro rankings. To the surprise of nobody except our GM we have the worst guards in the league, and it hamstrung the offense all season. Grier went into a very critical season after losing our best G and doing absolutely nothing to replace him. Publicly thumbed his nose at fans and media who were worried about the lack of any plan at that position. That alone should get him fired. Incredibly frustrating
It’s just absolutely unbelievable that an entire fan base sees that it’s going to be an issue….then the GM actually goes into pre-season interviews saying how we’re all dumb and he knows better….then it plays out exactly like how everybody but him knew it would Like how is this real life that he still has a job?
Speculation is that Ross is 84 and simply doesn't want to deal with it. He's in the process of transitioning the team to his daugthers/minority partners and doesn't have the stomach to go through the process of GM/coach interviews. Would rather kick the can down the road for a year and let the next person make the decision.
Old piece of shit….hire a search firm or somebody to take care of it There are some pieces worth salvaging on this roster that are going to be wasted by another horrible year of roster mismanagement
Dude likely doesn't care as much as we do. simple as that. Got to remember this is just a toy to play with for these owners just like when we were kids. Some toys stick around, some you get bored of and put off to the side.
Not sure if there is a Miami thread, but figured this might be a place to solicit ideas: Flying to FLL with my 10 yr old son to see the Orange Bowl. Looking for ideas around Hallendale Beach (staying with family there) for Friday. He's into sports, science, and loves playing mini golf.
Hallendale beach area is kind of a dead zone for kid friendly activities. That's a very upscale and older trending part of town. Your best bet for things he would enjoy is here, https://boomersparks.com/boca/ but that's going to be a hike. (I guess you could take the tri-rail) Could also go south to the puttshack down in brickell. Museum of discovery and science in FTL is also pretty cool for kids, but I think he might be just aging out of enjoying it at 10 years old. The Imax theatre is legit though. There's a dive bar called Le Tub that Oprah declared best burger in the country 10+ years ago that he might enjoy. The food is still good and there are toilet bowls everywhere/ its on the intercoastal so it is a fun meal and likely a short uber away from where you are.
Thanks! My family there took me to le Tub in 2012 when I came down for the BCS championship game - it was pretty good and I expect we will have a meal there.
Literally nothing has changed since. There's also Jaxons https://www.jaxsonsicecream.com/location/jaxsons-ice-cream/ tourist trap and kitchy as hell but a 10 year old will love it.
Near aventura not too much. There’s a cool art place for kids in the town center there but maybe not for 10 year old. Maybe Xtreme Action Park but that’s north of Ft. Lauderdale. You can always go ice skating at the panthers practice facility in Ft. Lauderdale. It’s new and has a good sports bar in it.
Considering he is with family, I think he will have access to a car. Best bet is to take him to Boomers or Extreme Action Park for the day. That's right in the 10 year old wheel house. There's also a Pop Stroke in Delray, but that's even further north.
Losing a home game to play abroad…. Again…. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/43451608/dolphins-host-first-ever-nfl-game-madrid
Fangio and Paul Maruice getting their rings. Good coupe of months for the coaching lifers without rings
Saw we cut mostert and Fuller. A little surprised at the Fuller cut, but maybe his injury was worse than I remember. CB moves to one of our biggest needs now.
martin still doesn’t seem like he’s all there upstairs. he’s trying to rebrand as some alpha male crypto guru so the “i was bullied out of the nfl” narrative is a no go, but he’s not refuting anything that was reported. incognito was still a pos and him thumping his chest about this is laughable.
If it wasn’t for every local reporter from that time coming out of the woodwork to support incognito, I’d still feel bad for Martin. Incognito may be a shitty person but Martin was a kid who couldn’t cut it and mommy found an excuse so he could quit and keep his money. This was a both sides the ass hole situation that torpedoed a season for the fins
Honestly the “I can use the N word because I’m an honorary Black guy” thing would have ended incognito all on its own.
I think people are confusing the two issues here. Martin admitting he wasn't bullied doesn't vindicate Incognito or make him less of a fucking douchebag.
The only "vindication" for him is that he wasn't "tormenting" Martin. They were "friends". Doesn't change that Incognito is an all time level douchebag who said some heinous shit that you shouldn't say to anyone, let alone your friend.
I may be off on this, but I find it hard to blame his mom. Moms are gonna do what moms are gonna do. I think Martin was struggling to hack it in the league, didn't know how to cope with that, and told his mom about the bullying. Martin seems to struggle with the idea that he was weak. Well, you were my man. It's ok and you can learn from it, but it doesn't do him any good to be in denial about it. I guess at least he's not threatening to shoot up schools anymore. Everyone sucks here
There's a slight difference between talking to your kid's teacher that your son is being bullied and creating a national story that creates a firestorm around the entire league. Especially when your son was proving to everyone he couldn't hack it and wanted to quit which would have put his signing bonus in jeopardy.
