this is why I don't like trading up. I'd rather have two shots at landing a decent player than using two fourths on this guy He may end up being good and I can't hate too much on taking as many OL and fixing that FINALLY, but feel we could have waited until the 5th or 6th to take this guy. He likely would have been there if we had stayed put
Yeah both he and hunt are pretty good run blockers and average pass blockers so our run blocking should be improved
Guy had a 2-3rd round grade by most and i dont get the point of hoarding picks. Fine with it honestly.
Love the Kindley pick at this point. Given the size of all our OL picks and the trade up, he’s clearly someone they had targeted. Love that we’re throwing all these assets at the OL
I had seen hunt had only allowed 2 pressure in 196 drop back, and that was at RT. His pass blocking as a G should be better you’d think
I'm just glad we are FINALLY going all in the fix the OL after what seems like over a decade of half assing it
Jake Scott or #Georgia Bulldogs what can you tell us about Kindley? Reach or you think its a solid pick? Seems like a hard guy from a DL to go through to get to the QB haha
Has our staff commented on what position they plan on playing Hunt? Sounds like he's a more natural NFL G but played T in college
Apparently going to get a shot at playing RT but I can see him/Kindley starting at one of the guard spots opposite Flowers
Fan favorite. Hard worker and great run blocker. I think he’ll be a solid contributor. May have been able to hold out and get him in the 5th, but a safe pick nonetheless imo
I saw that too. I think this is a deep draft, with a log jam of talent in the middle rounds He’s one I really pull for. He came a long way. Not many on our team improved year over year as much as him
My general mindset is that I'm fine with trading up, but do it to move around or back into the 1st and top half of the second. That's where the premium talent is generally. After then swing you want more swings moreso than moving around for this guy or that. I guess we have a shitload of picks this year though so I can't complain.
“Great fit in Chan gailey’s offense” is not a phrase I’d ever thought I’d be encouraged about but I am, back on my bullshit
Well my point is, if it’s just for a year couldn’t we have signed a FA? Brieda is more talented than him tho. Maybe we work out a bit longer deal later
I like that pick. Solid grades and very versatile. Lined up all over the DL. Seeing a theme here w/ Flores defensive guys- loves versatility His combine numbers were off the charts nice except bench but he can get stronger
Ok i'll admit I like what they've been doing in Day 3 and the Breida acquisition makes up for them passing on a RB last night
he was. played something like 95% of the snaps for us bc we had no DT depth. he was our most important player on defense last year
Strowbridge has trouble getting his weight up to play inside at UNC. They moved him around a bunch, and we like bigger backers. Wonder if we don’t have him drop into the 260-265 range and be an outside backer
We've gone all out to beef up at the LOS this draft. Really like it so far. Still would like to give Tua a few weapons here soon
I'm gonna homer it up here and say I'm surprised Pinckney is still available and Quarterman isn't. Figured it would be opposite. I wouldn't mind taking a shot on him if he's still there next pick.
