especially when the tight end that Gesicki will be compared to most often and who the dolphins could of picked (Goedert who went 7 picks later than Gesicki) is already turning heads on a super bowl championship team
I agreed with not paying Landry bc he is a slot guy... but then we turn around and give a mediocre nickelback top money in the league? Wtf? Some of these contracts we’ve given out the past two seasons are real head scratchers
McCain proved himself to be better than mediocre and its honestly not a bad deal for a good young corner.
You ever want a fun exercise look back at old Dolphins drafts and look at the players we could have picked instead
I've done it. its depressing. I won't ever forgive Jamar Fletcher over Reggie Wayne/Drew Brees. I remember watching and ESPN was doing a poll of what the Fins should do with the Pick. #1 with like 60% was draft Brees. #2 with like 20% was Wayne. #3 with like 8% was trade down. #4 with 2% was other. We did other.
Yup. That one was bad. I remember I was at work and the clubhouse was full of everyone watching the draft for the Ginn pick. As soon as it was announced I walked out and went home
Drew Brees and Chambers would have been a lot of fun dammit. Now I’m mad. Thanks for making me think of that.
My parents were in Europe. When Brady didn't go the pick before the Fins, I called my dad all excited that we were getting Quinn. I was so excited that when the pick was read, I confused Ginn and Quinn. My dad and I were excited that we didn't screw it up. Then the player profile came on the screen and I saw it was Ginn. I told my dad that we just drafted the guy who broke his ankle celebrating on the first play of the National Championship game. He hung up immediately. That 15 minute phone call cost us like $50.
I remember really wanting Quinn too. As much as Ted Ginn was a flop by top 10 pick standards, Quinn was worse. What hurts is passing on Willis and Revis.
trading down in from 12 in 2010 passing on both Dez Bryant and Earl Thomas when we needed a safety and WR badly to take Jared Odrick and Koa Misi.
Tannehill at 8 even though everyone knew he'd be around in the 2nd instead of taking the punter who went at 9. Kevin Burnett started at LB that year
it was on draft day. I remember that one as well. Was watching at my cousin's house. My uncle was all about the draft and was screaming at the TV when we traded down and Moss went the next pick.
If the whole team doesn't protest they're missing a huge chance to send a message to the league/owners
In reading the twitter updates from day 1 today it appears Our UFA kicker is solid Our backup QB’s are trash
I can think of a lot worse especially in twitter because some actually like these "updates". But I do agree that its pathetic and doesnt mean shit
