Wouldn't say unnecessary. Get a touchdown. But again that qualifies as open on this team made up of players who don't get open (whether by talent or playcalling). If Smythe has any awareness at all, he's in position to put his body in the path of that ball as he was underneath. Make the damn play.
Everything sucks but the defenses complete regression is the most disappointing. That is very hard to explain. last year we were solid and causing a lot of turnovers, and this year I feel like I’m just praying to hold teams to FGs
What was horrible about it? A guy is in position to make a play. I'm just glad SOMEONE on this team is willing to be aggressive.
Oh look when you give the playmakers we have a shot to make a play, they do. God this staff is garbage
The fact that they traded out of 3 and Pitts and Chase look like they're going to be generational talents should alone get Grier fired
OL bad, can’t run the ball, defense can’t stop the run, special teams bad in all phases. whether you think Tua is the guy or not, trading for Watson going to prevent you from having the picks/cap to fix your shit.
Atlanta sucks and just see how it goes when a QB can drop back and find open receivers every once in a while. That last pick was a deperately bad decision but he's working with so little. And not even talent. Coaches and OL aren't putting the offense in a place to succeed whatsoever.
