Tua has heart, I know that much. All the shit show of this week, two ugly INTs and the guy was still out there slinging it and trucking safeties. The defense will lose this but hats off to Tua on that drive
Look man Pitts is a freak and that can happen but you have to stop them from getting that last first down to give yourself a chance. Trash defense.
Chase put up 201 yards today and ruined the 5-1 ravens. No hate on waddle but man did we make the absolute no win move here out thinking ourselves.
I like Waddle a lot and if we took him at #6 because that was our pick I'd be happy. But a few years from now passing on Chase and Pitts is gonna look uglier than it already does.
We're obviously playing the result now, and everyone wanted Tua, but Grier/Flores passed on 3 potentially elite players in two straight drafts and essentially have traded the 1st overall pick (if the season ended today) for a solid to even very good player in Waddle, but it's probably safe to assume that he doesn't have the same ceiling of a Pitts or Chase. Toss in the inability to improve the OL, refusal to address the RB position, the Byron Jones contract, Austin Jackson and Noah Igbinoghene in the 1st round, and I fail to find you a worse GM tenure in franchise history.
It would be nice to see them use one of the fastest players in the NFL to stretch the field. No deep shots. No jet sweeps. No drag routes. Nothing where he ever catches the ball at or near full speed.
I'll just say he doesn't have their ceiling on the Dolphins. At least to compare to Chase. There's nothing to say waddle isn't as good of a player potentially. We just have no idea because Flores
Waddle could develop into a top 10 WR and it still would look like a mistake. Chase is on a generational trajectory so far.
Maybe but all I'm really saying is no one would be calling Chase generational if he was on the Dolphins. I'm almost willing to say Parker in another life may have been on a HOF trajectory too if it wasn't for this putrid franchise
Nah man. Parker, when healthy, is what he is. He's a solid WR best suited as a 2nd option. He doesn't consistently seperate vs man coverage at anything near an elite level.
I think his confidence is shot early on. But in college that guy was uncoverable. There are some drives he shows that here. I mostly agree but I'm willing to listen when you see us screw up everyone else. Speaking of which I never thought of it this way. If tua is under pressure with all of this Watson bullshit...I can see why he'd force some of these plays like his second int today. And this fanbase that only judges a player by his last play.
Comparing what chase and pitts are doing to what they could potentially do in the fins is something man. We don’t even give gesicki enough snaps, if pitts were here we probably would give him all of 3 targets a game. Be glad we got a 23 1st in the trade back and don’t sit at 3 and take waddle with chase and pitts on the board
Totally agree, regardless of whether we make the trade or not. How we've handled it has been atrocious.
The bite from Frye saying it’s been a distraction this week, and the bite from Tua saying he’s appreciated Flo’s honesty makes me feel like it’s inevitable this happens
Keeping the pressure on through the media is exactly why Houston leaked it and it may work. Either way I agree Miami has handled it terribly.
I also just dropped my remote and it changed channels without me knowing and I watched the new channel for way too long thinking it was a commercial
