It had been a long time since I was excited for a Dolphins game like I was this weekend. At one point in the 4th quarter I said "Crazy that this team is 7-4" and that's when SF started their comeback so I thought I had jinxed them for sure. Anyway, this next game will determine how excited I will be for the rest of the season, and I'm not just going to base that on the win or loss, but how they perform on a big stage.
Love Papi, should be more involved in Dan's radio show but I think they are too afraid of what he may say live.
11 games into the season in very much a make or break season for him, where do you all stand on tannehill? Has he shown he can be the QB we all hoped for when he took him 5 seasons ago? Are we set with him to where we can check QB off of the list of needs in this years draft?
I still have concerns but he's shown real improvement now that he has had some decent line play. His decisions are better, he's moving in the pocket better, and he's making the decision to scramble when nobody is open.
He looks like he figured something out finally....sometimes it happens that way Congratulations on having a franchise QB
For tannehill? His base salary jumps from 9 mill to almost 18 mill next year I'd say this is a make or break season for him in regards to whether or not he's the future
I think he's playing the best football of his career and I think it's pretty much a no brainer to bring him back at this point. He's shown he can be a capable QB if we can protect him. We were looking for major improvement and I think he's definitely shown it as the season has gone along. He's never gonna be a top tier QB but we can definitely win a lot of games with him playing like he has for the majority of the last 6 weeks. Future is bright re: Tanny with Gase at the helm imo
He's finally connecting on some deep passes now too which is amazing to finally see. But that may be more about having devante to throw to.
Which sucks b/c he is fucking banged up again. It's like every time he starts to turn the corner he gets some "nagging injury" that is not really a serious injury. Hopefully he will play through this one but I'm not gonna hold my breath on that one
Yea, he still struggles to hit a guy like Stills in stride, but with Parker he can just lob it up knowing that Parker is either coming down with it or it will be incomplete. Feels like he and Sammy Watkins have the same issue where they are only effective when 100% healthy.
he's gotten much better at it. back in the wallace days, he was like 1/10 on making a good throw. Now hes got it down to about 1/3 imo. Still overthrows Stills a bit too much but there has been a lot of improvement
They said at one point last week that Gase not only gives him the play calls before the snap but reads and other advice too. This probably calms him down a little bit and reminds him of where to look during his progressions
Man I just dont see it. I see him hitting open guys. Obviously occasional bad pass like anyone else (usually batted at the line) but I dont see 'accuracy struggles' at all. I see WRs who cant get open so he may try to throw a 'hopeful' ball that cant get intercepted either.... But yea i just dont see "struggles" to hit open guys like we did before.
I was referring to just the deep ball. His accuracy on the short and medium throws is exponentially better and he's even cut down on the throws batted down at the LOS
going for it on 4 and 2 from the 43 and up 14 shows how little respect they have for our defense and offense.
