Part of me was waiting to see Butler and Whiteside fight at some point.
this honestly is incredible. We upgrade by getting rid of Whiteside and then we upgrade by getting Jimmy Butler.
Hoosier you need to turn in your Heat card now, Riley is putting on a clinic
Won't celebrate until the Butler deal is completed
Thank you god for no more Whiteside
It's not done yet, but I'm so fucking happy regardless
how the hell can we get rid of whiteside AND dragic and only have 5.5 million left?
Woj says it’s done
I assume he's figuring Butlers cap hit in that figure
i mean the whole process of our FA moves
Looks like the Whiteside deal only saves like 6mil
My body is ready for the Bam era
so, say the Butler trade doesn't go through.... we get J Rich back.
I don't see this trade not happening, and I think we still dump Dragic and Dion contracts
Can't see the trade not happening
Four-year, $140 million sign-and-trade to the Miami Heat
Butler’s evaluation of his own weaknesses might be a little too much like Michael Scott’s (“I work too hard. I care too much.”) for other franchises, but Miami and Erik Spoelstra pride themselves on a culture that’s all about outworking everyone else. Butler will dig that, and though it hasn’t materialized into a ton of wins when he hasn’t been paired with a star, Butler can immediately take on the top scoring role he’s seemingly yearned for. Butler is good enough on both ends to lift up a cast of solid role players that desperately needed an alpha-dog scorer late in close games. Miami still has work to do and limited means to get it done, and still has some cap maneuvering left to do in order to fit Butler into its books. But pulling off a deal like this while residing firmly in salary cap hell is impressive.

Jimmy Butler deal is complete with Heat -- with Clippers added as a fourth-team in trade that also includes Philadelphia and Portland, league sources tell @ZachLowe_NBA and me.
Edit: this bastard
probably sending Dion somewhere too, no?
I'm okay with this keeping Dragic thing.
Butler - Herro
DJJ - Kelly O
Bam - Leonard
Missing Dion Waiters and James Johnson. I think Herro is going to be buried on the bench and that DJJ won't be a starter.
i just think we get rid of Dion or JJ
Problem is the Heat probably don't have any more first round picks to trade.
Ok, fine. I'm going back to my Giannis to Miami prediction
we unload 50+ mil from James Johnson, Andersen and Dragic after this season.
if its just straight up trade Dragic and bring in McConnell id rather just keep Goran considering his huge number comes off the books next summer
Had a feeling we'd show interest
Everything I've read on Twitter is that it's basically impossible for the Celtics to get Cousins.
Someone tell me how we could actually land Bradley Beal.
Anyone else here excited for the Bam Adebayo era to start?
If you took John Wall's contract maybe it could happen
Not saying i think it's going to obviously just don’t know how the money works out even if wiz are willing
Herro looks like he’s 14 out there. He’s got a sweet shot, his short arms will cause issues from time to time, unless he works on his mechanics and develops a quicker release. Needs to plant his feet a bit quicker. But this is all a no brainer that he will work on, but he’s going to be a good shooter to call in off the bench.
He's Devin Booker lite on offense but is worlds better than Booker on the defensive end. He's not going to lock down anyone 1 on 1 but he can really cause some havoc off ball. He's the primary reason why Fletcher Magee didn't do shit in the tournament against UK, never really gave him a chance to get a good, clean look.
Herro has no chance right now going to the rim. He's going to need to have a killer floater to have success there.
That's fine - he's going to make a living playing off of Jimmy and hitting threes in transition
Well he is a rookie. Name me one rookie who didn't have flaws entering the league.
