It's still early also even though I know getting the top pick in baseball is completely different than getting it in basketball or football but it would be so Marlins to fuck up a tank season and wind up with the fifth pick
So far it looks like it’s going to take a lot to beat out the reds for that top pick, they make us look like the 01 mariners
Can they just DFA Chen already? He’s going to get hIs money regardless....what a waste of our time Get somebody in there that could actually be useful at some point down the line.
Another loria signing he pushed for, any time we spend big money on FA’s they seem to be awful I still have nightmares of Salty Send Chen to play in Japan and bring Richards back up
He’s definitely another year or 2 away Diaz finally has started to come around after a really bad start, that pitcher yammato has been real impressive That Ozuna trade though minus sandy has been iffy, I saw Sierra play out here about a month ago and he was hitting in low .200’s
Ummm...I’d be happy with this Victor Mesa is officially out of Cuba and looking to sign with a major league club. That is a big development. Mesa, known as “Victor Victor” (that name was even on the back of his uniform in Cuba), has star potential, the best young Cuban prospect to become available since Yoan Moncada signed with the Red Sox for $31.5 million in 2015. Mesa, 21, is a comparable player to Nationals center fielder Victor Robles, the No. 5 prospecton Baseball America’s Top 100 Prospects list. He’s a premium defender in center field who at his best has shown 70 speed and at least a 70 arm on the 20-80 scale. He gets quick reads off the bat and takes sharp routes to cover plenty of ground in center field and make highlight-reel catches, winning a gold glove award in Cuba when he was 17.
Just another pitcher the Marlins tried to shoehorn into being a starter that found out he was an elite reliever the second he left us.
Looks like Ozuna has worn out his welcome in STL and has been a huge disappointment • Would the Cardinals consider trading Marcell Ozuna? According to a source, the outfielder is not the most popular player in St. Louis' clubhouse. With one more year of arbitration eligibility left before becoming a free agent, Ozuna -- who is having a subpar season in his first year with the Cards -- could benefit from a change of scenery and bring back a prospect or two for St. Louis.
