Al-Sadr has said that Iraqi forces should not go into Syria, let's hope that they don't because it will only make things there messier IMO
For those that post regularly in this thread maybe you could give quick cliffs when just posting tweets. There are so many different fighting groups I often don't know what's good or bad for us based on the tweet itself
Good for us - YPG/YP (Syrian Kurds)/Peshmerga (Kurdish Iraqi), ISF (Iraqi Security Force) Bad for us - any rebel group Neutral - Tiger Forces/SAA (Syria Army)/PMU (Iraqi militia)
Pentagon sent a plan to trump which allegedly includes plans to send a lot more troops into northern Syria, I assume that means Manbij and the surrounding areas. Things could get pretty messy.
Still using Humvees. Fuck that shit. Were giving away MRAPs, make sure these SF guys have the shit they need to be driving around an IED hell hole.
I only hope he lived long enough to spend his final moments asking himself how he ended up dying in a fucking Kia.
SAA Tiger Forces leader Suheil al-Hassan in Tadef, near al-Bab. Shows off captured Turkish ACV-15 APC to SAA General Staff at 1:17
We've accidentally hit SAA forces once or twice and Russia's also mistakenly hit the SAA. Who knows what actually happened this time, it certainly doesn't help that Russia's air force uses those fucking Garmin gps things.
RT report on Palmyra, the soldiers around 2:20 are part of the newly established/trained 5th Corps of the SAA
The destruction of ancient sites makes my fucking blood boil. I read that ISIS blew up a bunch of Ummayad era mosques and buildings. I don't know how they rationalize destroying sites built by Muslims that were one generation removed from Muhammad and the original conquerors. Edit: The major Ummayad Mosque in Aleppo is actually from the 11th century, but still it's disgusting.
Usually has something to do with false idols. But yeah, destruction of anything that old is a tragedy for all of humanity.
So what's the end goal for the Americans in regards to the Kurds? Will they actually defend them against the Turks?
That's what I would have thought. So why has the administration allowed them to go in there. Just seems like an odd decision if their intent is to pull them. Of course trump might not even know what his generals are up to.
