When I hear any Americans talking about "protecting democracy in other countries" and making sure those people get a "fair democracy" it's going to send up massive red flags for me due to what I know about our history of participating in such activities. I'm shocked we're still pushing such rhetoric here after everything that's happen in just the last 30-40 years
I think you can be for powerful groups allowing their people to freely vote without wanting America to spread democracy through bombs. I hear the anger and justification on using violence against a oppressive regime, gonna have a hard time hearing what seems like a suppression of your own people.

All land is stolen land. Just like the land you and I own/rent is stolen. Why is it that only the Jewish land is called stolen? Every arab country has acquired land the same way (many in much sketchier ways) in the last 100 years but it’s never called stolen. The only land I’ve heard called stolen is Israel and crimea/donetsk and those regions have no international recognition and are currently being fought over. The current land theft going on in the West Bank under Netanyahu is very different and IMO illegal. The land that Israel won in wars that is confirmed in signed treaties with all its neighbors is valid. If you invalidate that then there is no such thing as land ownership or any country we currently know. They all got formed that way at some point, some more recently than Israel.

really depends on what you mean. Latinos are mix of Indigenous and white people with degrees of percentages. Also that’s why I wrote POC which includes all the indigenous people of the Americas from Chile to Alaska.

I dont think the indigenous argument can really apply here. Jews as a nation have lived, been pushed out come back and pushed out of the region several times throughout history. It's not really about that. Even putting the religious aspects aside. That history is repeated from 3000 years ago up until 1949 The modern problem is a function of British colonialism, drawing nonsensical arbitrary lines, pushing people who were there in and out of areas. This applies to the entire Middle East, not just the Levant. And creating a ruling vs underclass. In fact, part of the reason britain was motivated to establish a Jewish state was born out of antisemitism - not wanting jews to resettle there.

From there it detoured to a discussion of indigenous people and their land. My main point was simply trying to point out that “no Israel isn’t the only state accused of stealing land”. The discussion of who is the rightful indigenous people of any land is probably too complex to actually have especially itt.
