mma rules say spiking an opponent on their head is illegal how is that interpreted to not include that sequence?
Spiking on the head is the same as 12-6 elbows. Think of a fighter having their head down, lifted, and dropped straight on their head/neck. That would be considered spiking. Very, very rare it happens. Only case I ever remember was Marquardt vs Leites and that was quite a few years ago. If a fighter is lifted with any sort of arc, twisted, etc., those are legal slams. Rose was standing, lifted, and turned. She had the opportunity to tuck her head, or even let go of the hold to protect against the slam. She didn't, and got KO'd for it. So it isn't spiking.
Prob bc it was only a spike bc rose didn’t try to brace herself? Not trying to be a dick, but it’s not like Jessica was pinning her arms or anything
Did you see the food truck diaries with him and Schaub? He was legit mad at him for saying he "throws caution to the wind" when he fights. Justin tried to say that's all by design.
It would be hilarious if Gaethje got the fight and then decided to finally use his wrestling to grapple fuck Conor
there's something called Professional Fighters League on now on ESPN2, and continuing on ESPN+ at 9ET
Yeah. Schaub is so weird to me. Sometimes I like him a lot, other times it's like goodness get Rogan's dick out of your mouth. He'll have an opinion, Rogan will have the opposite opinion, and Schaub will agree with him. Love Bravo, and Callen can get fucked. Despise that guy.
Overall I like Schaub. I think he’s a pretty good voice for the fighters with his perspective most of the time. I don’t listen to the first half of Below the Belt. I do like the food truck diaries. How do you not like Bryan Callen? His standup is funny as shit. Bravo is a weird dude with his conspiracy shit.
Nice +240 hit on smith. Felt like Gustafsson has lost a lot after the wars he’s been in. Manuwa still not good and sad I bet on him.
everyone makes it but this weekends card is low key loaded with good fights Cejudo/Moraes Shevchenko/Eye Ferguson/Cerrone Rivera/Yan Tuivasa/Ivanov Prelims Suarez/Ansarov Sterling/Munoz Kowalkiewicz/Grasso Lamas/Kattar
Of course. Poirer needs to stay on the outside and bust Khabib up with jabs and crosses. Only throw punches down the middle and keep Khabib from pressuring him by throwing 1-2 punches and then circle out/run away. Also, he needs to mix in tons of feints to try to draw Khabib's shots out. The second Khabib gets Poirer to commit to his punches or his back goes to the fence, he's going to take him down. That would be my game plan but I have a feeling that Poirer will try to win via power and be on his back most of the fight.
Khabib is going to take him down early and often. He’s got to survive a few of them and get back up to have any shot.
The answer I was looking for is “no” my friend. I just don’t see it. I’m also worried about Cowboy fighting Ferguson
