Back to the topic at hand, last night’s Embedded has 1.3 million views. This PPV is gonna crush. And Askren said today on Helwani’s show that Masvidal/Connor is next if he wins Saturday. That will shatter records and I’m here for that shit.
I don't pretend to know what the fight plan is, but I imagine Masvidal isn't the easiest person to take/keep down when he's fresh. There's going to be a substantial amount of standup.
I always like to play both sides. No idea what happened prior to when they started recording, but he's kinda right, if he leaves and the cops show up, no one is there to present his side of the situation. On the other hand, maybe just call it a night and go home. The old fat guy was literally mocking Perry saying he was gonna call the po-lice. Then seemed to step up to Perry when Perry said he was gonna knock his old ass out too. Sometimes people cash your checks. On the other hand, a trained fucking fighter knocking out old fat guys is never a good look. Just walk away knowing you could have easily knocked his old ass out, don't actually do it. I have to think this is not the first time he's called his girl a bitch like that. For a normal person and a normal relationship, this would be a deal breaker. But I wonder if she didn't wake up the next morning and apologize to him and beg forgiveness. Gotta think he will be looking for work soon.
If he's really that concerned about the police, walk away, sit on the corner, wait for them to come, talk about what happened and let them sort it out. No matter what, as a UFC fighter, walk away from any type of physical confrontation with an older overweight man. Nothing good is going to come of it no matter what led up to it.
I will never forget him on IG showing his 23 and Me results with him being like .2% African -- which allows him to say the N word.
"witnesses said the fighter was drinking berry mojitos" Mike doesn't seem like the berry mojito type, but who am I to judge?
I believe his new deal prior to the Nate fight gives him a PPV cut. So he may be making around 800K base but they could have sweetened the deal and upped his cut of the PPV.
He's legit crazy. His IG is a trainwreck I can't take my eyes off of. Since his win where he made ~$180K I believe he's bought 3-4 trucks?
Pretty sure he's Flint Michigan trash. Anyways, after hearing him talk a few times, that's exactly how you'd expect him to act in a public confrontation. Also don't feel bad for that old guy. He mocked the way Perry pronounced police and paid the price.
What am I missing? I just checked his twitter and it's mostly anti-covid tweets with a dash of trump jr/matt walsh retweets. Seems like mizzou trash
Haven't really seen any articles discussing it but from all the pictures I've seen, the octagon will be completely outdoors. Is it not going to be hot as shit? I know the main card will start at 6:00am Abu Dhabi time but by the time the main event starts it will surely be in the 90s considering the highs all week are upwards of 120.
Well shit, I haven't seen any of that. I retract my previous statement then. I was talking about all of the self-deprecating tweets about the Jorge knee.
But also, maybe be a little more cautious when you're fucking with a man who's life has been dedicated to beating the piss out of other human beings.
Looks like the low is 91 This is fucked if its outside (looks like it is) Should be 95 at 8, 100 at 9 Somebody is going to die. Hope they have powerful fans blowing
outside in that weather, Usman might cruise through Jorge with the huge wrestling edge. He's going to be breathing the musk of Jorge's nutsack for 25 minutes.
Guys, it's not outside. Pretty sure the octagon on the beach is a publicity stunt. It's going to be held inside the Flash Forum It will, however, be hot as fuck and humid.
You're right, it's got a roof. The last card in Abu Dhabi they all said they might as well have been outside.
Watching the first Embedded, Rose said she ate like shit all camp. She said something about keeping her weight up. Pat appears to have even less brain function than I remember. Also PVZ going from Oregon to Abu Dhabi has to be rough, no? That humidity and heat is going to be wild, not sure she's had enough time to acclimate. I'm looking for a good dog to bet on here...
If you're looking for dogs to bet, obviously #1 has to be Holloway and #2 has to be Masvidal. Rewatched the Till and Diaz fights last night and holy shit his combinations and speed are insane. Hopefully Usman is dumb/cocky enough to stand.
He's just so explosive and savvy. He sets things up very well. I also think he downloads his opponents rhythm, movement, timing, distance as well as anyone on the UFC roster. When it comes down to it for me, I just don't think Usman is that stupid. I REALLY hope he is, but I don't see it. He's going wrestle the shit out him until he's tired and then see where things go. I would predict Usman in a decision where there's no real damage done only building the love for Masvidal even more. /Jake take
I think the one thing that gives me hope is Usman wowed everybody in large part because of his performance vs Woodley. And then Woodley comes out with the same zero effort against Burns. So the shine on that dominant performance vs Woodley isn't as bright as it was at the time. Colby rocked his ass several times and he's a volume guy, not a power puncher. If you look at his record prior to Woodley, there are no killers there. RDA, Maia, the Russian rapper, the meathead from TUF, it's not that impressive of a resume. Now let's look at Masvidal: KO'd Diaz, Askren, Till, Cowboy, Ellenberger, lost decisions to Wonderboy, Benson Henderson, and Maia. That's a whos who at 170. I'd love to see a KO Saturday night. 170 would benefit so much from that. Masvidal/Colby? Masvidal/Connor? Sign me up please.
