Usman just has to step away from the division after he breaks Colby again. Maybe he tries to move up to challenge Adesanya. That fight has no chance to repeat the first one. Usman will end it before the championship rounds I think. That division needs some fresh matchs up bad,
Lamest thing is he lost, fought a guy retiring, and gets another chance after refusing to fight any real competition.
Usman is a beast but it’s hard for me to imagine him beating a champ in a heavier weight class who also has a longer reach and is a precise striker. like can Usman wrestle fuck someone longer and heavier than him? I’d watch, bc maybe he can, but I tend to think it would be a bad time for him. He’s super tough and I don’t think he’d go down easy; could get his face/brain tuned up pretty bad and I don’t want to see that happen to him.
It's irrelevant because he's said he won't move up unless izzy isn't champ.. But he's knocked out 3 of last 4 opponents. I don't think the boring wrestler narrative is fair anymore.

That's not entirely true. Its not his fault Usman called out Masvidal instead of him for the rematch. He was about to fight either Usman or Masvidal. Its just a fucked division
170 is in a transition phase, when it’s usually a top 2 weight class, and is lacking a lot of strikers right now. Not a bunch of up and comers yet, and the champ is the most skilled fighter in the weight class’s history. Colby gave Usman a very tough fight, but with Usman’s new stand up approach, he’s going to rock Colby earlier in this fight. With there being Luque vs. Chiesa in 2 weeks, they need to set up Burns vs. Edwards.
Dana needs to grab one of those Bellator dudes at 170. Not cuz I think they'd win but at least it'd be interesting and we wouldn't have to have espn shove a "this time its different!" narrative down our throats.
I’d like to see McKee there but if he wins I think he is stuck in Bellator. Maybe he should throw the fight. Division is weak with Volk as champ so they could come and do what Chandler couldn’t.
